Q #1- is it a rule that full body race cars have to have windows/lexan in the doors that they have?
Q #2- If no windows, are nets the answer?
After watching the Pinks episode last night i noticed that not very many cars had windows/lexan in there doors but nets and would still run in the low 9's. How would this affect a bug at 130mph+ and is there anybody out there that does this now?  Would ya need some air vents to let the air back out of the body at that kinda speed? The reason i ask is that on my bug that i am building for the street/strip am thinking about just using nets at the strip cuz with lexan windows it would get real hot inside.

Widows all the way around. And for added safety, add the window net too.

Too hot, for a 10 sec blast or what type of racing are you doing?

What do your rules state?

Could a lexan or simular be made in the shape and thickness of a stock window , then you could roll it up or down Huh
or is that to much of a pain to get right

The rules say windows are madatory in stock bodied vehicles and my be stock glass or replaced with shatterproof material. I'd imagine that if it's got a roof, then you need windows.
On the net, if you have a full cage, you need a net, even tho your car may not be quick enough to require a full cage.

So, windows AND net. At least that the way it reads to me.

That is how I have my Lexan windows, roll up & down in the stock regulators.

just because you have a minimum weight limit doesn't mean you can go leaving things heavy you make it as light as possible so you can put the weight where it is needed
