Just noticed on the Rockingham Dragway site they have VWs at the Rock down for Sat, Sept 25, 2010.

Anyone aware of this?

S&S - N vs S back?

I'm aware of it now!! Haven't heard anything but I'll start asking around. If they plan on having one they better advertise it.

Vws at the ROCK is earwoods event name so I don't think its S & S but don't quote me on that.

Is anybody planning on going to the VW's at the Rock?
I just recently found out about it.
I wish they (i.e. Steve Earwood) would advertise a little bit better. LOL

this might conflict with other races?? I ain't sure.

I thought Warren Hill was involved in putting this on but he was at Radford and never handed out any flyers. You can't have an event if nobody knows about it.

it's almost a shame that this event isn't getting the exposure. If you go to my website www.vwracingnews.com on the left hand side i have a list of the upcoming events here on the east coast.

this is by far one of the best race track surfaces on the east coast. I truly don't understand what all the bad press is about when it comes to Rockingham. The facility is huge, track is absolutely perfect to race on, and the promoter really wants the race to succeed.

Now we see the problem, a whole lot of different stories but no one is for sure. I was told it was a night race too. Has anyone actually seen a flyer for this race?

The flyer on the Rockingham web site says ECPRA Pro Mods but it's not even on the schedule on the ECPRA web site. I still haven't seen one flyer handed out at the tracks so how will the show car and swap meet guys know this event is even happening?

I got a post card in the mail today from Rockingham. The word should get out to those that have been to Rockingham before but not to anyone new. They should have been handing out flyers at the last few races. Are the vendors on the mailing list?

Confirmed today with track management that the times posted on the flyer are correct.
Gates open at 8 am.
Time trials 10am, Race at Noon

It might be a good idea to get a head count as to who is actually planning to attend so that we dont get sent home because of low turnout.

Please post if you are DEFINATELY planning to attend.

I am planning to be there. We have already reserved a room for friday night. I figured that if they started at 12 we should be finished by about two or three. I can drive back its only about a five hour ride. Hopefully my kid will help me drive since its all for him
