is this the address of the one we are going to?

7618 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston    or this one?    36 North Market Street, Charleston

Here is a gallery of the track where the race is held. A very good looking place

Doing some research that may help some people out. We stayed in this hotel last year and had a good free breakfast and nice rooms with an outdoor pool The hotel I believe was a couple of years old.

http://www.countryinns.com/summervillesc

The address is 220 Holiday Drive, Summerville S.C, 29483.

To get from the hotel to the Wild Wings address, it is 13 minutes or 10 miles.

Wild Wings is located at 7618 Rivers Ave, North Charleston.

From the above hotel, to the address listed on the track web site, it is 1 hour away at 62 Miles. The track is north of the hotel and Wild Wings.

The track address is  194 Drag Strip Road, Neeses South Carolina, 29107

This is most likely what we plan on doing. That way we are a short drive from the festivities on Friday and on Saturday, we take an hour drive up to the track, which is about our commute at home to go racing.

Hey Scott, not trying to beat a dead horse but since I'm coming with Gavin and the hillbillies, I need to get the info to begin plans.  As for the cruise on Friday.  We will leave here Thursday, stop that night and roll into Charleston on Friday at lunch.  There's a bunch of hotels close to Wild Wing Cafe.  We're partial to Hampton Inn or La Quinta.  Gotta keep the kids and wife happy.  Each hotel is real close to Wild Wing.  Where would the cruise start?  Already plan on doing thethe cruise for USE, just want to make sure I don't have to drive it even further to the starting point.  We have to plan on pushing Gavin's car at least part of the way during the cruise so just trying to preplan.  Thanks.

i am calling tomorrow.  the gms aren't usually there on the weekends so i will have some info tomorrow.  i think you are right with those two choices though.  i assume that the cruise will start in a hotel parking lot.

o.k. i have scoped out a host hotel.  this one has lots of parking, lots of restaurants, a mall, a hooters, denny's, home depot, you name it all in walking distance.  it is also 1/4 of a mile from the friday night cruise in location.  the hotel is nice, not 5 star nice, but good enough.  free breakfast buffet, free wireless, free open bar on that friday, and an indoor and outdoor pool.  it is 66.00 plus tax per night.  it is a ramada.  this one is about 60 miles from the race track.

to book call the number below and mention Drag Race Special.

if you are not coming down for the friday night cruise in concert tomfoolery then you might want to stay close to the track.  i am going there on march 6 to investigate for that.  here is the email from the Ramada Inn:

if you need something nicer there is the la quinta or the best western.  they don't have parking lots suitable for everyone so i didn't make them the host hotel.  there are some nice suite hotels there too.  let me know if you have any other questions.

Nah, already booked at the Ramada.  Looks nice and is a great deal.  Plus I need to keep an eye on Lou, Gavin, Ernie and the other rednecks.  I'm pretty sure a couple of them aren't alloweed out of Kentucky and they're all not allowed near livestock.  I'll probably be bailing them out once or twice.
