Yup, stock coolers here. Removed the remote coolers cause the cars would never get warm enough. Matter of fact, Greg Urrutia is about to receive a package with one of them in it for the Shasta Bus, lol.

I'm 2387 with 13/1 and after 1/2 hour or so the most I have seen is a little over 200 oil with a stock cooler and thing shroud. That is NOT beating on it

Turbo car, you don't need any more than a doghouse cooler.

Just run about 30' of extra oil line and have it take a detour through the ice chest in the back seat if your really worried. That would take about 5 minutes to plumb

I have an external oil cooler but rarely have to turn it on.  Last month I took the car to a show about 12 miles up the road and the oil temp never got above 200 degrees on a 92 degree day!

You should be fine.

Oh, btw, I run a serpentine pulley setup.  I had the "power" pulley (reduced size) on at the Radford USE and it does not do the job. Ended up getting hot and cracking a rotor button (thank god that was all it was).

I did get a BMD setup and I also got a big external cooler from Joe but I'll need to find the time and a location to mount it.

Gavin, car looks like crap anyway.  Attach it to the roof, a la baja bug style, and quit making excuses.  I have permanent brakes right now but I'm not crying, at least not yet...

That's enough? I'm only running 8 pounds?  Did it pull more boost before and just drop? Look for exhaust and intake leaks and cracks first.

Boo Hoo.  I just busted my ass fitting a seatbelt, bleeding brakes, loose link pins, etc.  Load it on the trailer and bring it.  Someone will know what to do.  Probably have more years of trouble-shooting at this event than anywhere in the world.  And can get help for a beer or 2.  Get some neighbors and load it up.  I bet it's the distributor turned 180 or the rotor.  Has to be if it wants to turn over and just back fire, spark is off.

Couldn't sleep at all. Got up at 3:00, went to the garage and went through everything. Found what I was looking for. Fired it up at 6:05 am, I'm sure I've got a lot of happy neighbors but at least my wife will be able to live with me for the next week. I was freakin.

Couple different issues both were small but masked each other.

We are on the road. I'm very excited my wife is not into the vw scene and this will be her first event so I'm hoping Stain doesent screw it up for me. See everyone tomorrow. Drive safe.

We'll break her in right Gavin.  Don't worry! LOL! Glad you got the car running.  We're already in SC. At South of the Border right now.  This is gonna be a 3hr pit stop once my daughter and wife get into the shops.  I'll just kick back in the RV and watch TV!

Hope everyone has a fun safe weekend!!! Last year at this time I had just bought TT Pink and was putting the turbo on, that is about all that has happened since. She is just a little street car right now and not ready for USE. I'm working on getting everything together so she will run the numbers I want her to. John and his wife will be there sometime tonight, funds just aren't there for me this year. Cry Next year I will be there for sure! Most likely I will be running the X/19 in regular racing, as I've decided to finish her first. Hope to be testing be the end of the year.

Fist of all I want to thank all the racers and sponsors. Without you guys we would have nothing. This was our largest field EVER. 16 cars cruised and qualified to race. We had two cars break first round of qualifying but they are part of our core racers and the will be back for the next race. We had several new faces in the mix and they were very appreciated!! One of the new guys Bill Wallace beat our NA record with a 7.705 but one of our regulars Anthony Consorte aka Chicken Wing Was right on his heels with a 7.718. Look for this to fall again at our next race. Sadly we had no Nitrous cars at this race. It was my best race ever I qualified number one with a 6.37 @109. I had to fight off the other quickest cars in the class and finally won my first race with a 6.16 at 114mph against Gene Cook in the final.

I would also like to mention that one of our newer drivers, Justin Flowers, ran a 7.21!!! That is excellent out of his Coral oval. Look for him to bring that on down. Looking forward to our next race at Farmington Oct. 24th.
