...who would be the best company to ask?
Im looking to build a full tube-chassis Buggy, not the Pro-Mod class, but a straight forward race-car for all day long fun on the strip in the 10's.

Or would it be better to buy a floorpan car, and have a new full cage made for it?
(I guess i then will find all the rust, broken parts etc....(and i dont have time for that))

You will probably be better off buying a proven car complete or at least a roller.

I've got a roller complete less motor on the samba. Hit me up if you'd like more info. I can't add a link to the site from my phone right now.

So, here is an additional question:
What Buggy body would be the best option? I have been thinking about buying a new body from Berrien Buggy (the Nostalgia) - can be ordered in many different colours. What do you think? Any better options for a new body?

Hey Eddie, what kinda body did you have on that buggy with the green cage?  I liked that manx, I thought about buying that at one point.

Whats up Gavin? I was thinking the other day, wondering what car you will show up with next that needs to be assembled in the parking lot...

Seriously, I hope all is well with you.

Ya Anthony, ill have something to work on at Dragnight in the parking lot next year for sure. But for right now I'm going jr. dragster racing with my kids. I made a promise and I need to keep it. Economy sucks and I didnt want to sell my stuff but I bought a jr car and we're diving in head first.
Thanks for asking bro.
I will be active with all of the Kentucky boys until I get something back together. I dont think I will ever be able to walk away from this "sickness".

It was the first air cooled vw i drove since 1996. Ya i know crazy right. i photograph these things and yet no one lets me drive one. Well fortunately scott let me drive 2 of his gazillion vws that he owns. I thought i broke the damn thing in the cruise because i was having so much fun Smiley

scott told me to drive it like i stole it... oh wait that must have been scott pocaro Smiley

luckily it was a nut in the flywheel getting hung up and not physically the clutch itself. i was like... DANG i jacked up his car... haha... it was plenty fast enough for me. just fast enough where i wouldn't get into any trouble.

Jason, im not sure who made the body that was on my old Buggy, but it was more smoother looking than the ones pictured. Like the wheel arches and all were well rounded, not squarish.

Anyways, Mike Cruz ownes my old buggy now, he took it to Irwindale recently.

nut in the flywheel?  more like a nut in the front seat!  it was the wingnut in the the clutch arm!  we call that a clutch adjustment!

you said it didn't have a wing nut like a traditional clutch does. that it had two nuts and they were getting hung up in the big loop hole that looks like a sewing needle head Smiley

there were already TWO NUTS in the front seat Smiley
