THE WEB SITE WILL BE UP AND RUNNING IN THE DAYS TO COME WITH NEW UPDATES AND RACES FOR 2011.

THE TXPRA WILL BE FOCUSING ON HAVING FUN FOR ALL THE RACERS, NOT FOCUSING ON THE MONEY ITSELF.

Wait, Lee is in Lousiana and there is no VW racing here.... We tried to get some guys to bring a couple dragsters and other cars to Baton Rouge this last weekend but we were solo.... I hope you guys make it strong this year... VWs in the south are pretty much a joke as far as I've seen.... I know of more people down here that snow ski.....

I'm curious what's going on with the ECPRA, as the newest Hot VWs had a story that said they're no longer patronizing the SEVWA events?  I asked about it in a thread on UAC but never heard anything.

I,m wondering if these events are "shared" with other racers or a strictly VW event?

The schedule for this date shows the Texas Pro Mods racing this date as well.

I,m down for running against the V-8s in the Test N Tune lane!!!

The events I've been to have been about 80% V8 and 20% VW (if that).... Bummmer.... That's more of a night out with the guys....

The TVWDRA runs their program whenever the track allows them to.  Usually its on an off night for the track, but to be able to run the same night as TOPMA (Texas Outlaw Pro Mod Assoc.) will be a real treat. Last night there were 12 or so cars going for the 8-car field at Kennedale, with Gaylen Smith's 3.95 (with 'chutes out at 550ft) being top. TOPMA has become an unofficial ADRL-feeder series. Usually the top 8 TOPMA cars are all ADRL Pro Extreme, Pro Nitrous, and Extreme Ten-5 races. Infact, Frankie "The Mad Man" Taylor won the TOPMA crown for the last couple of years, and he won ADRL's Battle of the Belts in Pro Extreme. I GURANTEE you will see some 3.80 @ 200mph runs!

Be sure to bring your wheelie bars because the track will be AWESOME!

There will be plenty of V8s in the test-n-tune lanes to pick on, as alot of the racers bring their junk out on Pro Mod night since the track is so good...

I,m very curious about the weather for this weekend

Presently I see Golf ball sized hail and Tornado warnings in this area.

What up with that??  I have an Open trailer and am very concerned about this situation.

I hear that Denton was hit by a Tornado yesterday, any word on that?

Fairly typically, late Spring weather for north Texas, Paul.

We did have a three round bout with some big thunderstorms hitting the Dallas/Fort Worth area on Tuesday night, but all is well at all the area tracks as far as I know.

It is still more than a week away, but the current forecast for Fri 6/3-Sun 6/5 is sunny with highs in the upper 80s.

You can keep an eye on the weather by checking out one of the local TV station websites at http://www.wfaa.com/weather, and the Denton track's website is http://www.northstar-dragway.com
