Looks like 4 cylinders get a pretty good weight break.  Anyone ever thought about racing here?  I think they even have a bracket class.

Guess it's no secret since it's posted on the SCSN site...the Lauffers will be there.  I hope it's better weather than last year.  Last year they shortened it to 1/8th mile because of cross winds once the cars got past the stands.

It's evolved into an "international" event.  Pro cars from Canada, US, and Dominican Republic.

Good race, the only VW I saw make a pass was E Girl (red light in the first round unfortunately).  The turbo GTO from Puerto Rico won in pro street, over the blown Camaro from So Cal, he had been running in the high 5s the whole time, but won with a 6.  I think the slowest car there was a new Camaro that had dialed in a 15 something to run in a bracket classs.

...and if I'm not mistaken, I also saw the Staggs chevy pickup make a few passes!
