side draft weber leaking

i have a 45 dcoe side draft weber on my 2332 street car and after driving and i shut it off fuel starts leaking from between the manifold and carb float level is right and the carb doesn't leak it is like fuel is puddling behind the butterflys and manifold i even tried to silocone the manifold to the carb with no luck anyone have a problem like this? any input would be great

How do you know the float level is right? Mine did the same thing and I lowered the level a little more. I'm down to about 16mm.
...or the float could just be stuck.

i have changed needle twice float once and changed float level 3 or 4 times but like i said it is not dripping out the carb you can down it and it's dry that is what is so confusing  and when i have done the above it still does it also i can just keep pumping the carb and it will leak can it be a mating surface problem but i have silaconed and without both still does it

also when yours did it was it  between the manifold and carb? 16mm down drop measurement? thank you

My measurement might be a bit much for some but it's necessary on mine. Also, my measurement was taken on top of the gasket.

Usually it would dribble out the filter but sometimes in would run down into the turbo and idle like sh1t.

Do you have a picture of your set up?

I agree. I had to lower my float as well.
I always shut the fuel pump off before shutting down the motor and run the gas out a little bit (10-20sec). This helps as well.
This is good practice no matter what as it prevents fuel from "percolating" and over powering the inlet valves.

i checked again float is 15 mm i did my measurement just like that i was thinking the first time it did it to put the pump on a switch like ohiotom had said i don't have a pic right now i will try to get some on here you know mine would never load up or any sign of anything wrong till shutoff

thanks for all the help but, no still leaks ,if i shut the pump down say 20 sec. before i shut the motor down it will still leak if i drive it easy and shut it off it does'nt leak it seems like if i get on it and park it,it leaks but if i start it drive around the block park it won't leak either i was wondering fuel pressure but i do'nt think it has anything to do with float it is way low and it only leaks under the butterflys. anything else you might suggest?

Is your fuel line run close to motor heat? Remember that gas boils at around 150F. VW motors run much hotter than that.
You may need to re-route your fuel lines.

What is fuel pressure set at? Might be too high at boost and overiding needle and seat. May have a bad or missing acc. pump valve ball or crud stuck in that circuit that lets fuel leak out of pump jet/s.
