We want to hear from you guys about this event.

In 2010 it was moved to Warner Robins and we had a low number of participants at the event. We want to know, if this is something that you guys want to participate in or just plan something else for that evening in town.

We don't want to spend the money for the place and then not have anyone show up to Dyno their VW. We could roll that money over into the show on Sunday instead.

Currently, we don't have anyone signed up for the event.
Please give us your thoughts.

Dyno Day held at Reeves RPM in Warner Robins
- hours 10-3
- $20 for 2 pulls
- Air and watercooled VWs

I am with Tim on this one, roll the money over into the show. It's not about being scared Stephen, I personally don't want to drive 7 hours put my car on a dyno trying to put out a big number to possibly having a failure and not being able to race the next day. Oh by the way, it was nice to meet your GF at the shriner's show.

Hey Guys!  I wish you well with your Dyno Event!

This is Scott Faivre of German-Pride.com and Promoter of the big Dyno Sessions out west that CB Performance has been the title sponsor for.  Let me say this...

$20 bucks is stinkin' CHEAP!!!  You guys BETTER get your cars out there!  Here on the west coast the cheapest we can find is $50-$60 for 2 pulls!  At my events, I know a few guys were timid about putting their cars on the dyno because "this guy" or "that guy" was going to be there and he's making XXX HP.  Screw that!  Put your car on the dyno, have fun, and run it again next year to see what your winter improvements have done for you!  It's all about having fun!  The first time you raced at the track you didn't run the number you wanted.  It took time to get faster.  Same thing with the Dyno!  Enjoy it for what it is!

Now, here's a little west coast smack talk to stir the pot!

I'd be surprised if anyone can beat Steve Dalton's 204.60 HP and 189.01 ft lbs of torque with a naturally aspirated engine running IDAs and no spray.  AND Steve drove his car to the event and back to So Cal!

Come on boys!  Run whatya brung! Wink

HAVE A GREAT TIME AND I LOOK FORAWRD TO SEEING THE RESULTS!

yes Allspeed was an awesome facility! But the only downfall was the the 2 hour distance between it and the track. Things didn't work out to continue it there, so we got this little down to earth joint in Warner Robins. These guys even videoed your Dyno last year and gave you a copy at no charge! We hope that we have a bunch of folks come out on Saturday. It is going to be some beautiful weather that is for sure.

Hi Steve! WOW $50 to $60 just for 2 runs! Geeze......hate to know what it takes to rent that place to have your own day! We were lucky to find these guys and the good thing about it, besides them being down to earth people, is that it is only about 30 min from the track and hotel areas. We are hoping to have a good turnout and have heard from quite a few that say they are coming out.
We will post results next week and maybe some can get close to those numbers you mentioned!  Wink

If you look at the car count that answers your question

car count in previous years came from a car club. and also from the Vintage Performance Street Car Challenge. With both of these dwindling away both the drag race, car show and dyno day have suffered. Tough times for sure with these gas prices.

Hell it's sorta impacted me. there were a lot of events that i didn't attend last year and this year isn't looking any better. Not because i can't really afford to but work is just keeping me busy so i can't complain. It's just tough because for my job i travel on the weekends. Traditionally Thurs - Sunday doing medical meetings.

So it's always tough to do a race when i'm off trying to do my full time job. Can't request off too many times and jeopardize the salary i get every 2 weeks. In this economy you can't jeopardize your paycheck thats for sure.

I was there yesterday and the ficility was great, the owners were really nice people. We got there early, they had fresh coffee and doughnuts for everyone. It is a speedshop, their parts dept was open for business. This place has been there with the same owners for 30 years, gave us the tour of their antique cars, really cool.  I ran my car and dynoed it, made 350 rwhp @ 6000, then had a parts failure which I didn't have a spare for so it ended our weekend. I will have the car ready again for Farmington in three weeks thanks to John Toomey, he is letting me borrow his parts. Anyone who wonders what his car actually makes for HP or has not been able to jet his carbs correctly missed a chance to do it for $ 20.00. Another big plus was getting to meet some of the people I talk to here on the internet in person. It is pretty cool to meet and develope friendships all over the world through these sites, let alone to actually meet in person.  I will definately be back next year and I want to thank K&L motorsports for promoting this event.  Mike McCarthy

When I had my car on the dyno, on the 3rd pull the crank snapped,it sounded the best and sharpest just before it let loose. The guy still charged me $50.00, so for $20.00 I would of grabbed every car that was near and put it on the dyno. And then listen to them scream!!!!!!!!

I was there to and it is great to finally meet some of the people you talk to on here,Mike, Kevin. I put my car on the dyno and those guys were great, and I learned a lot. Where it makes the most power and how far it pulls still making power. Plus I could jet the motor right to where it needed to be. Great job Keith and Kathy. Sign me up for next year, by then we will be willing to make the trip again. LOL

Yes it was a decent turnout. There were about 10 cars that dynoed.
Will have the results this week and get them posted. We left and forgot to grab them!
They took video too, so as soon as they get it posted, will we as well.
