The price will go up by January, The fact of the V8 guys supply and demand, The manufacture's dedicate most of their time on money makers, my product is not one of those , due to thesmall market and the fact I priced my product to reach the masses ,virtually no profit. It's NOT funny IT BLOWS ! The price is going up?? Funny how that works,..... that "Supply and Demand" thing,

Im with Luis........There are tracks..(redding, CA) that have staging staff that are constanly nitpicking the local VW's because they leak a few drops. I'd rather throw on a diaper evey race to eliminate the headaches and screaming, BUT!~!!!!! run a fully shrouded and tinned engine! IF you start making one that is compatable with tins, me and 3 guys in my club WILL purchase them.

Just guessing, but can you use a diaper that is designed for use with say a deep 4qt. Berg sump on a motor that is running a 2.5 quart sump? Maybe the diaper needs to be wide enough for the 2.5 quart sump and deep enough for the 4qt. berg sump. I have two motors that would be run in the car. One has a deep 4qt sump, the other a Berg 2.5 quart sump. It would be nice to have one diaper do both motors.

2, I can make a universal fit deal but it will fit like SOCKS ON A ROOSTER............would be better if you got two of the same sumps.

I can make blankets to fit a full shroud deal, no worries, just need the details. Not real sure for the VW events, but in NHRA 9.90 and faster required, but recommended for all, nhra will fine you for oiling the track, and will demand payment on the spot, I have been told, no BS so are the blankets required now?

I have not addressed that issue yet, but it will be on the next go around, Have you been asked about a sheild at tech? probably not, most Div. 7 guys don't know or even look for one at all levels execpt in Sc .(dragster) and at that because the trans is exposed. Ask around What's the status on that flywheel containment device (scattershield) that was mentioned a while back?

Fastback, you are correct. I have never been asked about having a scattershield, but I am still interested. It will be an SFI certified piece, correct?

The flywheel shield is in the works, The part does not have to be SFI and my product will not be untill NHRA requires the certification, shooting for $150 racer price. I will offer 2 models, top start and side start (oe) Fastback, you are correct. I have never been asked about having a scattershield, but I am still interested. I ordered my diaper last week and received it yesterday. The workmanship is outstanding and the fit was perfect. I still have the cylinder tin, with electric fans fastened on top of them. All I had to do was lengthen the straps on the diaper a couple of inches so they go over the tin, and it fits great. Looking into the engine compartment, you can't even see the diaper. No more worries about dripping on the track.

I now have been running it for about 7/8 TT/Races and I and very happy with it, I got the engine very hot first round of last weekend’s OutLaw Turbo race, with no issues there is one thing I would change I have my oil filter bracket off my 3 4 cylinder exhaust bolts and the strap with the loop through fitting the lead needs to be longer the fitting sits behind the oil filter and it is hard to get my fingers in there to strap it up, make that lead about 3” longer…. Thanks for putting out a quality product that works will, keep up the good work !!!!!!! Jon Schweers

Jon, you said it go hot during the first round,..how? It doesn't sound like it was an issue with the blanket since you are giving it high marks.

it was a C F first round, I had to run Hector a good friend, and one bad A$$ car, we both did our burnouts Marty backs me up and I look up and Hector's engine died?? as I lit the first blub he is out 50" or so out on the track? dead.... his quick thinking team runs out to push him back .... my car will not idle down under 2200 RPM's (found out this week bent throttle shaft) I sat there felt like 25 minutes I am in my car yelling at Hector's car to start ("YOU START YOU MOTHER F%^#*") and then it did!!!!!! he staged quickly then kicked my butt.............. Dan has video of it, I would like to put a timer on how long the car was running because I have no issues with heat ..........

Thanks Jon. I was wondering,..as others might, about the air flow or lack of with the blanket under it. I run no tin with an electric fan to the cyl. heads to try and keep head temp down for the return and potential hot lapping.

Bob my flywheel /clutch containment device will be available at Phoenix this weekend, Mark Trembley will have 3 or 4 for your inspection and or purchase. Or you can purchase direct ftd@hughes.netWhat's the status on that flywheel containment device (scattershield) that was mentioned a while back?
