Ok guys and girls,

I just got back from the NOPI event in Texas. It went very well and we were shown a great time by fellow racers Eric Ellis and Ricky Graffeo. The stories will be for another thread that will follow but just to tease you it involved beer, honky tonk night clubs and me in a hawaiian shirt line dancing ... sweet! Like I said details later. Anyway, the idea has now been born and plans have been laid down to turn Dads trip across the country into the Cal Look Racing Tour. We are going to do updates after every event on how we did along with other VW racers we meet across the country and turn every event into a big party ... as it should be. We will have a log book for everyone to sign and there may even be Cal Look World Tour t Shirts involved. More details to follow ... Now here is where the Cal Look community can get involved for the first project.

Naming the Car ... the winner will get credit with their name on the car so start those mellons thinking and start posting.

Here is the first sample ... Cal Look Crusher

We only have till the 18th as we will get it lettered Monday the 19th and then the road trip is on ...

Stories?? Oh yeah, and plenty of photos to go with...  Grin

Once I get my deal with the National Enquirer worked out, you guys'll see the California Cowpoke cuttin' a rug with his new pals, Dale, "Big Bug", and "Lil' Bit" at the Western Kountry Klub in Mansfield, TX.

So what kind of times did the Toyota lay down? Did your Dad run?

Just to be clear we are naming Larry's 1957 Oval window Bug. Those are great Lance! We ran 9.70's @140 mph in the Toyota this past weekend. We are now in the All Motor game ... Yee Haw ... as my new Texas friends would say.
