Most people here don't know my wife Susan, we have been married 35 years and she is my best friend. Sue had a heart attack and I was lucky enough to get her to the hospital Tuesday night and get her help. Sue got excellent medical care from Wake med heart center in Raleigh. They performed an angioplasty on her to break up a blockage and installed a stint for support. Her recovery has been miraculous and she is back to her sassy and laughing self.  Hopefully she will be coming home tomorrow sometime. This has been a wake up call for us and our lives will be forever changed, hopefully for the better. If you want to do something for us, give your wives a hug and tell them how much you love them and think about what your life would be without them, I have.  I want to thank everyone for your best wishes and calls, its nice to know who really cares about us, thank you.

Mike, Glad to hear Susan is doing better! It's just amazing what doctors can do these days. A friend of mine had a heart attack and when the doctors were done he said he hadn't felt this good in years. I pray everything will be fine,   Mike

So glad to hear that she's doing better Mike. 35 years is an amazing achievement in these times where people seem to treat marriage like a used car. Praying for you both!

Thanks to everyone for all your prayers and best wishes, they must have been real because my baby is home with me and talking crap to me as usual. I am very happy to have her here and I am doing all I can to keep her off her Goldwing , she went out in the garage and sat on it last night but I have the keys,  hahahahha  Dave Kawell talked to her today and she listened to his advice and is staying in the house now till the doc says she can do more. I hope none of you have to go through this like we have, again, hug you wives and kids when you can and be VERY thankful for what you have,    Mike and Sue McCarthy
