That's some sano work there buddy!  I'm very impressed!  With the level of work that you do, there's no wonder why your in such demand with "everyone else's junk." Wink

One question, how will you close this gap up?  Maybe some donor car metal?

Those wheels and tires are gonna look sick tucked up un the rear!  Can't wait to see your next update!

Alrighty.... Here are some updates as promised:

After seeing how Mike Lawless' new rear IRS setup turned out, I decided to take a step in the same direction:

091 Bus Box by Crow Trans, with LanD Intermediate section and Weddle 930 Flanges

Trans installed with RLR 1" Raise Kit for Bus boxes.

Chevy 5-lug Hub and 930 Micro Stub from EMPI (Thanks RLR!). These come with nice 10.9 grade 14mm studs, but had to get pressed out and replaced with 1/2 ones.

Now the good stuff:

The wife was brave enough to leave town without taking the Saws-All with her, so I got to hacking! No more torsion tube! I will be building a chromoly frame that the custom IRS control arms will mount to and allow for zero camber change throughout the travel of the  suspension, plus it will allow me to make the arms a little longer than what Mike did.

Since the bus box is raised in the car, and to allow for room for the coil overs and sub-frame, it was decided to cut out the package tray and wheel tubs!

The package tray will get put back in, but it will be raised up in the car approx 2", and the tubs will be narrowed to accomodate the 235 radial.

Up Next: Body goes back on for tire mock-up, then its off again so the control arms and sub frame can get built. Stay Tuned!

Here's the latest:

As you can see, the Champion Wheels wrapped in 235MT Drag Radial Rubber fit nicely under the stock fender. I got the axle mock-up fixture from Mike Lawless (ready for more Hot Sauce?), and had to extend it by about 1 1/2".

Now, the body is already off the pan again, and work has begun on building the rear frame.

Until Next Time...

CHAD!  I NEED AN UPDATE!!! Cheesy

I'm really interested on how you are going to put the firewall/package tray section back in.  How's the project progressing?
