I already have 3 lsd for irs . I cant found a swingaxle lsd. I'm considering to change my swingaxle to irs, the thing (safari) rear suspension fits or works  to replace  my swing axle.?
I already have irs trans.

What I need ?

1.- Trailing arms thing  ( 924, type 2 ? )
2.- shocks  (are the same as beetle swing axle ?
3.- grommwts are the same as swin axle ?
4.- urethane control arm bushings
5.- control arms bracket to weld on my swing axle
6.- irs pin bolts
7.- springplate  ( I supose are the shortest)
8.- I already convert my swing axle to rear disc brake, Do I need to replace the mounts ?
9.-rear axle thing (bus type 2 or 924 ?)
10- stub axle
11.- cv axle boot
12.- constant velocity joint

You may be able to convert three cars to IRS to use the IRS LSD's you allready have for the price of it though. I can't remember who makes it, but this pic was posted in a samba thread a while ago.

That thing is a machining work of art. I got a chance to talk to the guy selling those at the last Sacramento.

It sticks in my mind that they were more than the Quaife Diffs. But they are a little bit different than them. If your specific application needed that type of diff, I'd consider it a deal. There was talk of the Pittsburgh Vintage Gran Prix starting a Vintage Aircooled VW Class. That diff was something I thought would work well, although it may "bend" the rules a little, considering it didn't exist when VW's were popular in Road/Ralley Racing. LOL

The guy that posted the original pic on the Samba (Gears- I believe his name is Paul ? and is a transaxle specialist) is responsible for that unit. IIrc the price is up around $2000-$2200.
