Stephen, Lone me your camera and give me a few pointers, and I will be glad to fill in for you, LOL. Sounds to me like your not going to make very many events, and that totally sucks. Monica and I have a great time hanging out with you. You need to bring the GF down to one of the events so we all can hang out.

Trying to slowly break her into the scene. It's just not her thing you know. I tortured the last 2 girlfriends by forcing them to go, putting them to work, and not paying them in cash. just in other ways Smiley

Attn Racers! There will be an IHRA Tech (Danny Waters) on hand at the event for a couple of hours in the morning, to give you guys a chance to have your car Inspected to see if you are up to par on the IHRA rules. This is just an advisement so you know things that you need to do to your car to improve it. If you wish to have chassis inspection, you need to let us know so we can advice Danny. There will be a charge for Chassis inspection.

Saturday night..............The track will have Test and Tune. If you wish to test, there is a $10 spectator fee and $10 Test fee. Gates open at 6pm with runs starting at 7-10pm. If you don't want to test but just come in for camping over night, just let the folks at the gate know that you are coming in for the VW event and they will direct you to parking out of the way until their event is over.

Well it seems that there is a local University Graduation on Saturday night, so ALL the hotels within the area of the Dragstrip are ALL SOLD OUT! One person said it was because of a Local Graduation.

So if you are looking for hotels within a reasonable price, you are going to have to get it before you get to Burlington. Even the ones a little close are over $140!

UPDATE ON HOTELS
Did some searching and found that if you Google Hotels around the Greensboro area you can find the reasonable ones at the Wendover Ave Exit off I-40. There are several there that range from $49- $79

We would like to Thank all of you that attended the event!
Certainly hope that you had FUN! Who left the HEATER ON?  Cool
Did you check out the Tracks new Restrooms? WOW  Shocked

If you have any comments about the event, please let us know. We can’t improve if we don’t hear feedback. We know the economy is hurting all of us and certainly appreciate you coming out and supporting the event.

Special Thanks go to Kelly Brown, Heather Darling, Porky Briggs, Danny Waters & Dyno Don for all their help during the event. And of course our SEVWA 2011 Tour sponsors!

SEVWA Points have been updated and there is a 4 way tie for second in Super Pro, WOW!  Go to http://www.sevwa.com/members/points.htm

As many of you know, at this event we did have a special guest from California, Dyno Don Chamberlin. Many of you had the pleasure of meeting this great guy as he cruised around the pits or show area. He certainly brings a great vibe to the whole VW Event! This is his livelihood and just like Keith and I, loves the VW Community and would do anything to help keep it alive for years to come. We would like to THANK YOU ALL for helping make his visit a pleasant one as he had many very nice comments about our Southern Hospitality. Maybe we can bring him out more often to other events as well.

Results and Photos are up!
http://www.kandlmotorsports.com/Big%20Bug%20Shootout/showresults2011.htm

How you guys like Keith's new hat for the races? Maybe it will keep his head from getting burnt!
