What is everyone running out back as far as rear tires? I am looking to change the rear tires on my car. Right now I am running 215/60/15 on 7 inch wide centerlines, 1 1/4 wider fenders. Not looking for a full blown slick just the D.O.T. approved ones. You know the slick with the grooves cut in them. Looked all over M & H's website but could not find any that would work. Any suggestions??

M+H makes the perfect tire for you. They have 6" wide 26" diameter DOT that works great. I have 2 sets of them. One set on my turb street sedan that runs low 11's in the 1/4mi.
And the other set I use for running the All Motor class at the "import faceoff" events. They require DOT's for RWD all motor cars.
I have over 7,000 miles on my street car. Plenty of tread still on them and they still hook at the track too. I have had them over 3yrs.

So John from M&H just called me. Great bunch of people, very informative!!! He said that the 215/65/15 D.O.T. tires would hook up just like slicks, and fit my wheels just right. Looks like a new set of shoes coming soon.

I wish you were running porsche pattern so I could see how they fit under my fenders.

Ditto:  M&H 215/65's on my Beetle for three years now.  Good street tire (wouldn't recommend driving in the rain though) and hooks up decently at the track, without a burnout Smiley
