There was a flat green mid 50's bug at the drags yesterday that looked like it had a radiator tucked under the bumper and sounded like maybe it was running a subaru motor?  does anyone know about this bug and the real details?

that is the oval that I was talking about. I don't know why he was allowed to compete. It was my understanding that it had to be VW powered.
I emailed Rich Kimball on this because there were several guys with V8's in their VW's and they were told they couldn't play in the past.
The oval sounded cool and I am sure he did alot of work to get it all in there.

well if i remember correctly there was an orange V8 powered bug that almost won a couple of yers ago?

The bug does have a Subaru motor in it. It belongs to a friend of mine named Russel. He also has a really sweet '60s vert..

I think he was runnin' in the mid 8's. He wasn't launching it hard at all, just kinda rolling off the line then getting on it alittle...
