Lose those velosity stack filters and the car will run alot closer to 11's.

Hahaha, and what info do you have to prove that theory? I run them at the track and on the street and even dynoed with them and they made the same exact HP as without them. Actually, I went 6.71 at 103mph in the 1/8th with them. The filters you might be talking about are the foam filters from Weber. Those things won't work with a carb with a big venturie.
Howard run the filters you will be fine. Actually make a pass with them on and without them and report back to us. I will put money on it that it e.ts the same.

The pre-filters are cool. They will for sure "save" your ring seal. That car is awsome. I take a look at it every day when I log on.

Hey Joe, Take it easy. we are all entitled to our opinons. Yes?

Just like opinions on deck height and compression ratios....

I have heard of putting your 2 cents in, but 25 is above and beyond. If it works, then do it.

lol   ..........But none of it makes cents for a RACE car. ......Since your adding weight that doesnt make it FASTER!  Grin

Opinions and facts are two different things. Those triple mesh filters work real good. They are advertised with no HP loss and I had to see for myself. I was very impressed that they didn't rob any power.
I always hated the fact of driving around without any sort of filtration. I used to be paranoid about chucking a rock down my stacks during a burnout or coming back down the return road when the tires are sticky. The filters are the answer and if I had a drag only car I would probably use them.

[Man you got it all figured out!!! I guess you better give Buddy Hale a call to give him the same info, cause the car he just built thats on the cover of Hot VW and 6 pages inside has the same TRIM alignment issue. I hate to brake it to you that sometimes  these cars were not built to the highest standards when new. I will post a pic to show you the door is not a problem. This was not a $50000 restoration so as a builder you have to draw a line on how much mock up and fitting you will do before paint. And welding and redrilling trim holes for a race car was not in the budget. But thinks for the help....NUFF SAID!!

yep...nuff said.

...i get it all the time
