Really looking forward to this bug run. Hopefully this is the first of many bug runs with the NCVWDRA!

The NCVWDRA will have it's season opening points race at US 131.
The race class is "one class, all run".
Must be VW power air or watercooled.
We will normally run 1/4mi, but that is up for vote race day.
Buyback money goes to track and puts you into 2nd round, but no points.
Not sure yet, but I would like to make this first race a "double points" race to help bring folks to our other events.
Points will be earned as follows:
1 point to enter
1 point for each round win
no additional points earned for a buy back but you can still win the race cash and prizes
1 point additional to win the event
1 point for entering all 4 points races
We take the best 3 out of 4 points races
points go with driver
To enter the points series you must register your permanant car number
with NCVWDRA and pay $40.00 buy in before 1st round
Car number can be moved to a different car if needed but not after 1st round begins
You do not need to be registered for points to race with the NCVWDRA!
You can still win the cash and prizes for winning the event.
We will be taking 10% of the entry fees and adding that to the yearend payout
for points. We will pay top 4 in points cash and prizes from our sponsors and entry fees.

The GoodVolks aircooled VW club is going to do a reaction time competition again this year for the Spring Bug Run.
Best reaction time of the day wins $100.
This is open to all racers and those that do fun runs. All passes of the day count, race and test.
A little background on this competition:
The Goodvolks do an annual 'drag day' at US131. We have a reaction time competition amongst ourselves. We feel this makes the event equal for all that participate.
The Bug Run reaction time competition ties in nicely with our drag day activity.
