i need one bad for my 67 bug... looking for a good used one that anyone has just laying around or doesn't need for a fair price.. would love a short axle tranny but ill take a long axle... if anyone has it or knows someone who has it please let me know!

Where are you located? If you are in the South Bay or OC area you can try Old Speed in Paramount.
He usually has piles of em.

I have a 4.37 with a diff. no axles or tubes or brakes. Fresh rebuild. I spent $700 on it.

where are you located... I have a transaxle from my 68 that can be had for free.... it was in the car when I picked it up many years ago and the guy said it worked well... I never drove the car with the transaxle in questions, I swapped out the pan for the later suspension...
