I think a lot of guys run a 205 rear tire.  Is it a 205/75R/15 or?  What brand seems to be the tire of choice?  I have 165's on there now, and I hate looking at them.  Little friggin' weenie tires..... Roll Eyes

My street tires are 206/65/15's.

I got them at america tire. I think they are called Dominator's lol. Anyhow they are pretty good  tires.

Not many use a 205/75/15.  Some guys use a 205/70/15 truck tire.  IMO the largest tire that looks right is a 205/65/15

I think those 205's look bitchin'.  My '67 is lowered about the same as yours, but I have the longer axles..........wonder if the 205's will clear the fenders.   Roll Eyes  I guess there's only one way to find out.....take the car down there, and do some tire fitting.   Undecided

BTW.....I do realize this is in the Classified section.  I wasn't paying attention when I originally posted it.  if the mods want to move it, I'm with ya.  Wink

Just so you know, here are some tire heights (approx), all with a 15" wheel
165= 25.1"
205/60= 24.7"
205/65= 25.5"
215/65= 26"
205/70= 26.3"
205/75= 27.1"

My '67 fit 205/70s with long axles on  repro EMPI 5's, but just bearly. My wheels were the cheap "Rocket" brand with slightly more  backspace. The American Eagle wheels have less, you may have to go with short axles.

I don't really want the shorter axles.  I like the way the longer ones make the car look.......plus, it's a '67 thing  Wink

I'm running the repro Empi 5 spokes, I think they're American Eagle brand.  I won't be keeping them, but they'll stay for a while.  I'm not sure what the back spacing is on them, so it'll be interesting to see what fits.

Next, I am curious what "Brand" tire will look the best.  Sounds dumb, but it makes a difference!
