Jon-

I heard about your Ford Pinto racing plans Lips Sealed

Pinto's have that exploding gas tank problem  Shocked  so you may want to stick with VW's and go Pro Mod...just my 2 cents Wink Smiley

Good Luck!

It has been 18 weeks I have been working on the Notchback “quick update”

The car is at RLR and almost finished Ron had some issues trying to fit me into the car, Ron had to rebuild the frontend to get the pedals moved forward about 5” to do this Ron moved and replace the rack & pinion gas tank, battery box and all the brake lines and remount the string wheel I now fit well and Ron also moved the driver seat 5” to the right and remounted the V gate shifter Ron is finishing off the funny car cage around the driver seat for the 7:50 NHRA cert. it has taken more time? But it is a lot more work than we first thought Being 6’4” sucks ……

The body: the paint is finished it took 6 weeks 4 different paint shops and 8 deferent airbrushing artists to finish …………

The engine: we will have 2 engines a test/ backup engine and a big race engine the test engine is finished and the race engine will be a finished in 3 to 4 more weeks

The plan was after Ron is finished the car will be torn down and powder cote the chassis?? Ron and I talked yesterday and we are going to put off the powder coating tell we get 2/3 races under our belt so we can make changes without the paint on the chassis with it being chromoly rust is not an issue

I will update you more but for now that is it…….. I hope to be testing soon but I have a lot of work to finish the car we will see??? Roll Eyes
