We are trying to get some items up to raffle off at the spring Farmington show/race to raise money for Austin Martin's medical bills. Austin is Mike Martin's son. You east coast drag racers will remember Mike, he is also a awesome engine builder. Please help us help the Martin's! If you have items to donate please message me for the address to send them to, or call me 336-414-8210 (cell). Also the SEVWA has agreed to help out in raising money and monetary donations can be sent to their paypal account at sevwa@sevwa.com send it as personal marked gift so no fees are taken out. We will have a 50/50 raffle at the silver dollar show with the proceeds going to the Martins, then hope to have items to raffle at farmington, but your donations are needed. Thanks, Mike Sheets |

First I have to say thank you to everyone that bought tickets yesterday at the Silver Dollar Showdown for the 50/50 raffle. We raised $247 for the Martin's.
A big thanks to Creative Car Craft for donating a safety star.
And to Gavin Baker for donating a pair of Simpson Racing shoes. They are black size 11.5
As more things come in they will be posted!

I went and saw Austin today. yesterdays surgery went well. They put a shunt in to drain fluid off his brain. He is having constant headaches, he said the surgery just added to the pain. He did tell me that he may be heading home in the next few days so thats so great news! Please keep the prayers and donations coming!!!

Austin had his surgery thursday morning and is havivg a hard time. He is throwing up green stuff that is draining from his head. I hope and pray that the shunt they put in will make his head stop hurting. The stress is hard on the whole family. His mom has been at the hospital the whole time. Today is day 25 and dont know when he will get to come home, soon I hope. Its going to be tuff when he comes home because he will still have to have a iv for 8 more weeks. They say he will be fine but with each day that goes buy it only gets harder. Im one that dont ask for help but I am asking all to please help us out. I have changed working days to the night shift so when he comes home I can look after him during the day and his mom can go back to work. I am on my way to the hospital this morning to see him. Will up date later today. Thanks every one for there thoughts and prayers.

Mike has been a good friend to a lot of people, myself included. If it wasn't for him I probably would not have gotten into drag racing my own car, he has been there for me whenever I have needed him. That's why we are trying to do anything we can for him!

Mike,
I am going to bring a volkswagen block that I have. It has a place for a sensor in the back where the clutch goes. I think it came out of an autostick but not for sure. Someone may need it.

Thanks to every one for your donations. Austin appreciates it. I would like to say THANKS to all to. It really makes Austin feel special. Austin said he will try and come to the race track. He gets tired very easy. Keith said if he comes and gets tired he can lay down in his motor home. I am going to do my best to bring him so every one can meet him and he can thank every body for there donations, thoughts and prayers.
