I guess if they are sanded down to raw steel I could do that. Can you weld a nipple on so I can clamp on my K&N breather elements to them? How many of these will you be able to supply when you get production going?

I guess they would have to be 1/2". I need to see a picture of the bails so I'll know if it will clear the frame rail on my street buggy. My buddy has a car with one of those type four big blocks and wants a set to fit his motor too.

Any chance that these will be available in carbon fiber?

I'm guessing that doing so may be pricey, so a less expensive alternative may be carbon fiber-look vinyl (the thick stuff, for durability). Along that same line, Krylon "Premium Metallic" spray paint may be the answer for the above poster who was looking for a chrome set.

I think stick welding carbon fiber is a difficult option thatfew have mastered. But who knows he may have the ability.

I feel like I'm missing something here, and hopefully someone can set me straight, but wouldn't valve covers that are larger than they need to be keep oil from the sump?

Well, that's a good point about the oil not going to the sump. I'll bet it would be easy to add a fitting on the bottom of the valve cover, then I could run some 5/8" heater hose down and return it into the side of my EMPI sump. It isn't very thick so I don't think I'd even need to use a drill press to make a hole for the fitting.

If this keeps going for 2 more weeks, it'll be April 1, and it'll all make sense then.  I hope.

I don't want any crummy "chrome look" paint. As hot as my motor gets, I want REAL chrome- it won't burn off like paint and it will help radiate heat. Didn't radiators on really old cars have polished top caps on them, it's gotta work.
