WV Mine Explosion

As most of you have seen on cable tv by now, we have witnessed one of the most tragic mining accidents in decades here in southern West Virginia. Coal miners are a close knit group that risk there lives every day, just to provide a decent living for the ones they love. As of now, there are 25 confirmed dead, 2 with injuries, and 4 missing. Please remember these guys in your prayers!

It is such a terrible tragedy and I hope they will be able to resume the rescue effort ASAP.

It is all over the news here in N. VA.  My thoughts and prayers are with all the miners, their families and the entire community.

Thanks for the reply Kathy, One of my best friends, who's actually renting a room off of me right now, was working in that mine untill a week and a half ago. He finally got his request for a day shift job approved so they moved him to another mine. He would have been there...God was looking after him! As of now, the rescue crew is set to go back in at 11:00pm to finish the search for the remaining 4.

As of 6:15am the news is reporting that the rescue crews are nearing the site where the miners are believed to be.  I pray that they are found alive.

I am grateful to hear that your friend was not working in that mine at that time.  I can't even begin to imagine what you guys are going through.
