If you are not retired from the military you probably don't know this: Before reaching the age of 65 retired military personnel can use military hospitals on a space-available basis. One can also purchase supplemental insurance called Tri-Care which allows one to go to any civilian doctor or hospital that will take Tri-Care.
Upon one's 65th birthday (past mine) one loses the privilege of using military health facilities except for dire emergencies - One is automatically switched from military health care to (you guessed it) Medicare and Tri-Care, if one chooses to pay for it.
The problem lies with Tri-Care. The government pays so little to Tri-Care physicians that it is very difficult to locate a provider willing to take Tri-Care's payment. In some parts of the country, where the economy is really hurting, doctors will take Tri-Care but in other areas it is next to impossible to get a Tri-Care doc. So a large percentage of military retirees only have one option - Obama Care. SMSgt Mean Dean, USAF Retired

Shovel Ready Jobs............FAIL (He's admitted to that failing) 3. Solar................................FAIL ( no need to admitting it, their filing BK) 4. Foreign Policy...................FAIL ( No more respect from any countries) 5. Two massive stimulus packages..FAIL( He's admitted to both failing) 6. A total failure to inspire any large corporations or people to invest in this country............INCLUDING SOLAR.UNLESS "WE"" fund it. 7. Another bailout job stimulus package? ?? NOPE! NEVER AGAIN! Your patriot has turned out to be a UTTER FAILURE. NOTHING HE HAS DONE HAS HELPED THIS COUNTRY. Except ok-ing Seals to go in a knock off Osama, which was only done on his watch AFTER BUSH PUT THE GEARS IN MOTION. FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL PS You better hope he's re-elected. Bill, Social Security is not under attack. Social Security needs to be overhauled before it goes bankrupt. They have said over and over and over again: PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALREADY PAID IN AND SENIORS HAVE THE OPTION TO STAY WITH THE CURRENT SOCIAL SECURITY PLAN. ONLY IF YOU WANT TO OPT OUT WILL YOU BE ABLE TO. Thats DIRT CHEAP what your paying. I am 45 and my daughter is 14. I pay 589.00 a month. And co-pay and deductable's. The problem is the countries broke. And only getting worse with obama in there. Why not STOP wasting all this money for green jobs/solar/windmills and start paying down this debt? ? Stop giving monies to these unions who are flee's in my opinion. Obama has no clue how this country works. obamacare is a huge failure and contributes to the poor health of our economy.

Dean, I am not going to resort to name calling. I only did it last time to defend myself! I GO BY THE FORUM RULES!!!! LETS STATE ONLY THE FACTS DEAN. I have stated them above about "YOUR" patriot. This country will not/can not run on his socialistic agenda's. The economy cannot breath being strapped down like that. It goes against the very core of this Christian nation. Let's do what's right for the overall health of this country. NOT JUST FOR DEAN. THE COUNTRY IS BROKE DEAN. FACE THE FACTS. Your patriot takes money and gives it to the unions, who suck it dry and then promise to fund his re-election. I told you before in our previous discussions that solar would fail. WELL WELL WELL DEAN..........................Whats happening since our last disscussion? ?? THEY ARE FAILING, ONE BY ONE............................lol. ObamaCare.............................................FAILING FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL I want this country back on track for my kids!!!!! I will struggle through it and have lived most of my life already. I dont want my kids to have to experience this last 3 years like I have had to endure. The way I see it Dean I have just as much right to post here as you do! POSSIBLY MORE, AS I TRY AND GO BY THE FORUM RULES AND HAVE BEEN POSTING HERE ALOT LONGER THEN YOU. YOUR A TYPICAL DEMOCRAT DEAN. GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME at everyone's expense. DEAN: ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU, ASK WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY!!!!!!

I think Mean Dean has already asked and answered the question, "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country", by Serving and Retiring from our US Air Force. Please show some respect for the people who have put their lives on the line to protect our rights and freedom. Thank you Mean Dean and Bill May!

Kathy, Sorry, it's hard for me to show respect to someone who considers obama a patriot. I have already Thanked him for his service to our country. THAT DOES NOT MEAN I HAVE TO AGREE WITH HIS SOCIALISTIC VIEWS. If "YOU" want to think everything he does is right and Patriotic just because he served in the military then that's your right. I have IMMEDIATE family that has just started a 3rd tour(TWICE IN IRAQ, NOW IN AFGHANISTAN) and they cannot stand the current administration ruining/running our country!!!! And it shows in the MORALE of our troops. It also creates tension within our Military's. Which is real UNFORTUNATE!!! There are plenty of Veterans(NOT ALL BY ANY MEANS) going down to the VA and faking it to get more money. I HAVE SEEN THIS FIRST HAND. And it ruins it for the honest Vets who really need it Kathy. Just because they served does not mean they can do whatever the hell they want at everyone else's expense. Many people join the military for the wrong reasons. Not all, but too many in my opinion.

Here is why you don't want socialism!!!!!!!! European Socialism Tax Rates Greece, Spain, Italy, are all in throws of default. Subject: Fw: Current Tax European Rates Current European tax Rates United Kingdom Income Tax: 50% VAT: 17.5% TOTAL: 67.5% France Income Tax: 40% VAT: 19.6% TOTAL: 59.6% Greece Income Tax: 40% VAT: 25% TOTAL: 65% Spain Income Tax: 45% VAT: 16% TOTAL: 61% Portugal Income Tax: 42% VAT: 20% TOTAL: 62% Sweden Income Tax: 55% VAT: 25% TOTAL: 80% Norway Income Tax: 54.3% VAT: 25% TOTAL: 79.3% Netherlands Income Tax: 52% VAT: 19% TOTAL: 71% Denmark Income Tax: 58% VAT: 25% TOTAL: 83% Finland Income Tax: 53% VAT: 22% TOTAL: 75% If you've started to wonder what the real costs of socialism are going to be - once the full program in these United States hits your wallet, take a look at the table. As you digest these mind-boggling figures, keep in mind that in spite of these astronomical tax rates, these countries are still not financing their social welfare programs exclusively from tax revenues! They are deeply mired in public debt of gargantuan proportions. Greece has reached the point where its debt is so huge it is in imminent danger of defaulting. That is the reason the European economic community has intervened to bail them out. If you're following the financial news, you know Spain and Portugal are right behind Greece . The United States is now heading right down the same path. The VAT tax in the table is the national sales tax that Europeans pay. Stay tuned because that is exactly what you can expect to see the administration proposing after the fall elections. The initial percentage in the United States isn't going to be anywhere near the outrageous numbers you now see in Europe . Guess what. the current outrageous numbers in Europe didn't start out as outrageous either. They started out as minuscule - right around the 1% or 2% where they will start out in the United States . Magically, however, they ran up over the years to where they are now. Expect the same thing here. It is the very notion that with hard work and perseverance, anybody can get ahead economically here in the USA . Do you think that can ever happen with tax rates between 60% and 80%? Think again. With the government taking that percentage of your money, your life will be exactly like life in Europe ... You will never be able to buy a home. You will never buy a car. You will never send your children to college. Let's not shuffle the battle cry of the socialists under the rug either. It's always the same cry. Equalize income. Spread the wealth to the poor (whoever they are). Level the economic playing field. Accomplish that and everything will be rosy. It's time to take a really hard look at reality. Greece is a perfect example. Despite the socialism system that has ruled this country for decades, with a 65% tax rate, they are drowning in public debt, would have defaulted without hundreds of billions in bailout money from the EU, and still. . . 20% of their population lives in poverty. What has all that socialism money bought, besides ultimate power for the politicians running the show? Do you think these people are "free"? They're not. They are slaves to their economic "system." This is where we are going unless we throw some of the present politicians out of Congress. Instead of spreading the wealth around, spread this message around. It might wake up some people. http://www.justplainpolitics.com/showthread.php?28865-Current-European-tax-rates

This should tell you though how we are all fed up with all the spending the Government is doing. I believe we need to take care of those that take care of us and not the politicians whims. I am paying 627.00 a month for my what amounts to, catastrophic insurances. This is Blue Cross's cheapest plan for us and I have a 5000.00 per person deductable! I hate to say it but we private sector people are actually paying for your Tri-Care or whatever. It is free and you are welcome! But I as well as other privately insured are getting Focked! Just because I turn 55 and it went up 120.00 this year! They just name their price. It forces young people into working for the Government as well. Small business can't afford insurance and start ups. So we are forced into working for the collective ---Communism.

Great post! I couldn't agree more!
We do need to clean house.
Although the Tea Party, I believe, is too extreme, they have brought the big problem of government spending to the forefront in a way that other groups have failed. For that I am grateful.
--- The only difference I see between you and I, is our retired military.
I strongly believe the men and women who have stepped up and served our country have earned their retirement medical benefits.
Now I am going back to the VW's

Arnold, you are incorrect when you state that Tri-Care is free - it is not free and has to be purchased by any retired military person who is not 100% disable. We were promised, in writing, that we would receive free medical care for life if we retired, then our Congress took that away numerous years ago and reverted us to the great system enjoyed by all Americans upon reaching the age of 65 - Medicare (which is also not free we have to pay our premiums like the rest of you).
I spent 20 years in the military, 11 of which were overseas, 9 of which were in southeast Asia and 2 totally isolated tours (Iceland for one year, and a radar tower in the north Atlantic ocean for another year). I spent 27 months on the ground, serving with Army and Marine units, in Vietnam plus several months on clandestine missions in Laos and Cambodia. I was wounded twice and now I'm receiving 50% disability for P.T.S.D. so I am not interested in how my military retirement is "free".
It is interesting to me how most of my refactors on this site never served a day in the military and the closest they came to combat was witnessing a drive-by shooting in their east L.A. neighborhgood.

LOL, Did you really think you would come on here and be able to speak "YOUR" opinions and not have someone discredit them? This is a public forum. And just as you have the right to post in the "Off Topics" section about your patriot, does not everyone else have the right to post their opinions as well? So, we do not agree with you so we are all A-holes. You feel you have the right to not abide by the rules as well. Posting vulgar language as you please. At least I follow and respect the rules. This is because it's ALL ABOUT YOU. You are so self centered and self consumed that as long as it benefits YOU then it's right! And, what you can get out of this country because you served in the military. Just remember this: YOU GOT IT!!! YOU GOT YOUR FREEDOM DEAN!!!! Is that not enough? Then you take the government monies and spend it in Mexico? On a house that you DO NOT 100% own, and the mexican government can come and take it from you whenever they feel fit. YOUR JUST LIKE MY FATHER-IN-LAW: Because he served 20 years in the Navy everyone should kiss his---!!!!! His own kids cannot stand him and neither can I. I do not want to follow in these European countries footsteps. Obama(your patriot) is doing just that. I am going to have a big party once he's out of office. I think you should stay in Mexico full time dean. Good place for you.......

This is not a public forum... it may be available to the public, but we all have to play by the rules as set forth by the administrators. That being said, I would suggest that political discussions/arguments/bitch fests/etc be eradicated from the site altogether, or else perhaps set forth in a separate forum in which access is granted by request for those who seek to engage in those discussions; its' been done on other forums, and it makes it all the easier to avoid, for those of us not terribly interested in hurting/getting our virtual feelings ( ) hurt through the anonymity of online heated discussions. In all seriousness (yes, I was being a bit facetious just now), it would avoid a whole lot of unneeded conflict between folks that largely have never even met face to face, IMO.

bugnut, Where does it say this is a private forum? ? IT IS A PUBLIC FORUM! And I have played by the rules the entire time. Please show me where I have not. If you look at GreenDeans posts probably more then 3/4 of them have been posted here on these political topics. He probably does not even own a bug. So why he has chosen to post on here at all is beyond me. However he does have the right to do so. We have posted in the off topic discussions. I have posted on here because this crappy economy has really slowed my progress down on finishing my car. That was my original intent on my original post here. Not to go round and round with some bozo stating Obama is a patriot when he's clearly digging a hole so deep for this country it will take MY GRANDKIDS KID'S KIDS to MAYBE pay it off. So what rules have I broken bugnut? I do not recall using offensive language yet on this forum. Like your pal greendean. greendean has not hurt my feelings at all. He is a bitter old man with alot of personal issue's and problems. So whats the rules bugnut? And which ones have I broken?

I love you 65 Bug - Please keep it up - People like you do more to solidify my beliefs and values than my friends. You must feel like a real individual, sort of like being a festering pimple on a big white ass - a big red puss filled dot in a sea of cleanliness. Meanwhile I will enjoy living in my villa on the beach in Mexico on your tax dollars.

I'm not saying anybody broke the rules here, 65bug. Didn't even mean to imply it. It just seems that historically political discussions tend to be a pretty volatile topic, and given that no one is every going to change anybody else's minds about anything in that realm, it just seems kind of like it doesn't really fit in with the spirit of the site.
And by no means am I implying that people shouldn't have the freedom to express themselves here... Odds are I'm dead wrong in my thoughts and comments on this, lol. Ah well, no harm intended.

Bug Nut - thanks for trying but it is to no avail. Leave him alone and he will eventually self destruct, like the diminishing number of Tea Bag Presidential hopefuls that are dropping from the race like dead flies. I no longer take him serious at anything he says but you will have to admit that he is entertaining.

LMAO.............Greendean, you really put your foot in your mouth on that comment "living in my villa off of YOUR tax dollars"! Typical democrat logic. Lie your butt of that your pulling for the middle class working man while your living off of them and taxing them to death. You could not make it on your own without the government if your life depended on it..............

I have a retirement income higher than most working middle class families - that is why I enjoy retirement in luxury. You would have to be a bigger moron than you pretend to be to believe that I do this on government pensions. I am a retired Aerospace Engineering Manager and small business owner. Dream on you fool.
