We saw that last night. KInda scary. It's hot in the first person, like Blair Witch. Not what I expected and I was disappointed in the ending. I'd wait and rent it instead. OK movie, though.

In 2008 there was a movie entitled Cloverfield. Very realistic, but kinda jerky camera movement that gave you a headache. Still, spoky as hell.

If you like The Descent, please see the directors first flick called Dog Soldiers. WAAAAY scarier than Descent and WAAAAY better! You can get it through Netflix or pick it up on DVD for around $10!

As for scariest movie, i still go with The Exorcist to this day! And yes, I am an expert in scary, lol.

I'm a big fan of Descent, along with High Tension and Wolf Creek (yeah, I like low-budget foreign horror movies)... Cloverfield was a bit too shaky, they tried too hard.

If you want to watch a REALLY scary movie, try "Sublime"... otherwise, classics are the best! (One of my all-time favorites is "Angel Heart", so give that one a try!)

Holy yikes, I'd never heard of this movie before, I looked up the trailer on YouTube, and it looks AWESOME!!!! I've got to look for it on DVD!

Okay, as long as we're talking about foreign films, how about the original "3 Extremes"? I have the uncut version (which has a much better version of "Dumplings"), and it's very good... In other news, I'd say that I've always been a big fan of the low-budget movies, almost bordering on comedy, like "Frightmare" (with Ferdinand Mayne), so that's where my tastes tend to run.

If you want a good low-budget franchise, the "Ginger Snaps" series (maybe hard to find, but DVD Planet in southern CA hooked me up) is pretty good... really cute stars, too...
