VW? Porsche? Original? Period-Modified?

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150560317167

""You are bidding on a VW - Porsche 356 with VW chassis bucket Bj 1944, with the Porsche 356 body, whether the body is original Porsche and what year it is I can not say exactly..."

Given that it apparently sold for 120K Euros, there must be something there.

Tanks Karl. I saw it mentioned in the new issue of Ultra VW as The East German VW/356.

A very odd car.

It's been discussed on the 356 Registry forum.

Glenn,

Could you provide the link? I can't find the discussion.

Thanks,
