Well that's obvious! A cold beer, a hot steak, and a working television! Wink

Now this is the kind of "outta the box" thinking this world needs! The first blonde represents the first 20 years, and the second blonde represents the next 20!  Grin

Congratulations Kathy. You figured out the key to gift-giving...Find out what you're getting before you buy your spouse their gift... Smiley

Reminds me of that Larry the Cable Guy routine (My brother and his wife celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary, and when he asked her what she wanted, she told him "A de-vorce". He called me up all panicked and said "I wasn't really plannin' on spendin' that much on this anniversary! I don't know what I'm gonna do!"). Cheesy Happy anniversary!

20 years is a big milestone Kathy. Congratulations!

I think what matters most is that you spend the occasion together. Have fun on the cruise! The Mediterranean sounds great!

Very Nice!  I miss my old Camero...

We will be flying out for the cruise after Jon's last two weeks of reserve at the Army War College.  After two long years, he will receive his second master's degree, I am sorry to brag, but I am so proud of him  Smiley  He will be retiring as a Lt.Colonel, in October, from the Marine Corp after 20+ years.

We have a lot of celebrating to do and I really want to make this special.  You never know...maybe if I give him a fabulous anniversary gift he will purchase a race car for me... Shocked Wink

Thanks for all the great ideas and best wishes.  Keep them coming because I still have no idea what to get him.

Thanks J!  I am looking for an inexpensive starter race car.  Doesn't have to be pretty, but does need to be solid and require little or no work to make (slow is acceptable) passes.  I want a car that I can improve upon, and still take it down to the track to work on my driving skills.
I appreciate you sending me any suggestions on cars that you may come across.  Thanks again

Something else thats nice for a military man who is proud of his service is a nice display case. The Ribbons and medals tell a stroy of his service. You might need help from a freind that can get you a print out from his records.Medals of America can build it for you or can get in kit form.I built my Dad one of his Navy WW II service and he sure liked it....

No.  Jon will be heading out for reserve duty on Sunday we won't have time to make the trip down.   We are both disappointed, but hopefully we will make it out for the next east vs. west race...of course I will be racing for the east  Grin

I will always be a west coast girl...they talk funny here Shocked Grin

I think an east vs. west (to include north and south), annual race event is the next step for the VW racing community.   I am going to support all VW racers, but when it comes to choosing sides...I got to stick with my neighbors Grin Grin Grin

Have a great time in S Carolina.  I can only imagine how fabulous the southern hospitality will be at this event.   Scott has been working awfully hard and I think it will be a great success!

Have fun and be safe...oh yeah, and have a glass of red wine for me Smiley
