How much does your car weigh, and how much hp?  What is it's ET now?

Years ago my cousin, who was always a really big guy, started dropping the lbs.  When people started to notice, there was usually the question, how much are you gonna lose.  His answer was always "three tenths".

Here's what i'm on.  Lost 16 lbs without even trying.  It's all about what you eat.  That's it.

3 rules.  Eat more fiber, up to 40g per day.  Drink 8 glasses of water per day.  And last, stop eating when you are full.

If you want to read up on this very simple method to weight loss, go to amazon and buy "Full Plate Diet".  It's an easy read with lots of pictures.

The authors are alumni from an Academy I take courses from in Austin, TX.  The staff at the Academy got their hands on an advanced copy of the book and some decided to give it a try.  One guy lost 80 lbs in less than a year.

Forget the quick and easy diets.  Just apply the simple logic in this book and you are on the way to thin.

I am in no way afiliated with the authors and this is not a paid advertizing.  It just works and it's easy.

Which one of you lucky (bastards! Wink) is going to "permanently lend" me about 30 lbs.?  I seem to be stuck at around 135-145lbs. forever (at 5'11 Cry).  My doctor is not happy about it either. I don't even care about losing the three-tenths, just ship me some weight please! Grin

Hey Andy,

A good friend had the same problem.  Went to visit his doctor.  Ran some tests.  Figured that his numbers were way off.  Set up a meeting with a nutritionist.  Here's how the conversation went.

So Mr.XXXX, you can't seem to gain weight to attain your optimal body weight.  Let's have a look at what your daily diet is like.

Mr.XXXX "Well I wake up and have a coffee.  Don't eat breakfast because i'm a construction worker so I need to get to the site for 7h30am.  On the way to the site I pick up a coffee in the drive thru.  At 10h00am we have a coffee break so I get another one."

Nutritionist "So at this point you still haven't eaten anything, right?"

Mr.XXXX "That's right.  I seem to always have an upset stomach, anyways we break for lunch at noon and i'll grab a chip or chocolate bar.  Somedays i'll even get a sandwich but that's on rare occations.  Did you know that the coffee truck charges $8 for a sandwich, that's alot.  Then we have another coffee break at 2h00pm."

Nutritionist "Let me guess, another coffee?"

Mr.XXXX "Yup"

Nutritionist "This is going to be easy.  Stop drinking coffee and eat good foods."

This was a few years ago.  He did follow the recommendations and have been living a healtier life.  Oh, and he quit smoking too... :0)

Thanks for the input Terry. I am definetely a "high-strung" individual who is always running around and busy, and yes I have a ton of trouble keeping food intake up, mostly due to a very stressful schedule at work and lack of appetite from 8 months of chemotherapy, but I do have large portions at breakfast (4 egg whites with one potato worth of seasoned hash browns, followed by 2 cups of soy milk on 2 pcs. of sprouted toast with cinnamon, and topped off with an apple and a blueberry/raspberry shake based from coconut water)...10 am is time for either a almond butter and honey sandwich, or 30 oz. of carrot and apple juice, and lunch is usually homemade chicken salad using cashews, a handful of spinach, 1 tomato, some shredded beet and carrots, and a little peanut oil. Or pasta with tuna, or a deli style sandwich loaded to the max. From 1pm to around 8 (most nights a week) I have very little or even no food (due to school or me working on my projects while I have daylight). That is the biggest problem I have!

Dinner is usually around 9 or 10pm and I nearly stuff myself before bed. It is the only way I have been able to maintain my wieght after all the activity during the day. My sleeping pattern totally sucks (another side effect from chemo drugs) and I can't seem to find a "groove" to fall into for sound sleep. I get (typically) 5-6 hours a night and that in itself will probably put me in the grave! Water intake is around 80 oz. a day (sometimes more), I am alcohol free, tabacco and drug free, caffine free, and simply "high on life". My other problem is that I know quite a bit about fitness and nutrition and I won't eat the processed foods that often from the store, and esp. not from fast food places!

My friend says to fix all my problems I need quit working, weight train more, take up smoking pot and drinking, and get laid (at least once a month)!  Roll Eyes Grin I keep telling him I wanna die in a hot rod doing 130, not in pain from getting lung cancer, liver failure, herpes, and welfare checks! At least I am starting to do more weight training though. Smiley

You should expect approxamately 1/100 per 10lbs on your et fatass. Jerry Lewis, Troy S., Dominic L. or one of the other old tubby US guys should be able to give you a little more guidance. Or you could go on the Scott Sain male model binge diet.

I'm down 15# so far.  You're wife's not complaining, not like she ever did though.  The 55 just needs the throttle cable secured at the pedal and a cage.  Now looking at putting a RLR back in with both door bars.  Times ticking, we shall see.

and this tip is just for gavin:  stop giving BJs for beer money.
