Just wondering if it is true that Sierra Nevada Pale ale is changing from a twist off cap to a bottle opener style cap? I know I am getting up there is years, but when i couldn't get the cap twisted off my evening bottle, I had to resort to the ole' bottle opener. Upon close inspection, the darn thing ain't a twist off!  I love the brew, and love the fact that I can have a bottle near half finished by the time my counterparts with there opener style bottles are looking for an opener..I guess I will have to get a new keychain. Well, at least it wasn't in the wrist.  It is true, that the only thing I bought at the Kelley Park Swap meet was a Sierra Nevada Keg Tap Handle for $1. What a deal. It is too nice to make into a shifter handle. Oh well, time to get the opener.  :-(

If I'm not mistaken, Sierra Nevada originally had pop-tops and then switched to twist-offs some time ago. I remember thinking, "thats kinda weird, usually the crap beers are twist-offs.......quality beer requires a bottle opener." Wink

ETR, you may be right about the early bottles. I have been downing the liquid fuel for about 12 years. The first part of that was at a bar my wife used to work at, pre-wedding that is.  I would walk in the front door of the bar and by the time I got to the back, there was a tall cold pint waiting for me.  She tricked me! The way to a man's heart and all that mumbo.. So it was draft till the  kids showed up, and then no more time for bars,...I need a kegorator
