At 12:50pm here in Northeast Wisconsin the ambient temperature is -6 degrees, with beautiful crystal clear skies and bright sunshine!  Windchill is -35 degrees.  We just finished up the snowiest December on record, and we're on a similar record pace for January.

Can you image where we'd be if it weren't for all this global warming?!?!  Why, it would probably be "crazy-cold"!

Globe is getting warmer for sure.  Melting the poles and push the cold down south.....not south enough to hit So. Cal yet.  It has been high 70's or more all week here.

David, David, David-

Don't you know it is now climate change, not global warming! The greenies have decided to change what they call it so no matter what happens they can scare us.

BTW it was -21 when I left for work this morning

Yep, I've noticed that they've quietly "modified" their term because of the obvious inconsistencies we are all seeing.

Global warming is going to destroy the planet. Look at some of the problems that global warming can cause.
Kidney stones, HIV, sea levels rise 200 feet! Let's not forget cannibalism, tiger attacks, and World War IV.

Global warming is convenient, because I can blame all my modern problems on it. Smiley

I think everyone should turn off the tv and stop reading interwebs news for 6 months and lets see what happens, I bet the stock market would rebound.  It was -6 last week here in CT and has not been above freezing for weeks.  We also have one hell of a snow season so far.  Suck on that Al Gore  Grin

Al Gore and his ilk are frauds. It is a big time money and power grab.
IMO I would rather live under "global warming" instead of "global cooling". What and how many crops can grow in snow or freezing conditions?

Woke up to -6 this morning and the daytime high reached 6.  Windchill -25.  We're now in a winter weather warning due to the temps and windchill.  Its not projected to get above 9 degrees for the next few days.  We're not even into our coldest month (February).   Roll Eyes

I live in Alberta, Canada.  Someone in our local VW club pointed out that his company has been measuring "frost free days" in central Alberta.  Apparently we now have 18 fewer frost free days than we did in the '90's, thus affecting our growing season (our province is primarily forest and farm land-wheat, barley, canola, etc).

Our past few winters have been longer than usual, with more snow from October to May.  Definitely climate change:  global cooling...
