It sure comes apart A LOT faster than it goes together!! I think I have found a body for the car, just a long drive to get it. I know it is messy in the garage, hopefully I can clean it up tomorrow.

Your body does not look that bad, a good body man should be able to straighten it out. When you get the car back together use limit straps or wedges between the stop and springplate..

Damn Chuck, I am getting sick looking at these pics. Your car is one of my favorites. Clean, fast, and a hard launching car. It would be great if they can save the old body. Good luck with the rebuild.

obviously needs the roof reskinned....but really doesn't look that bad otherwise. hard to tell from the pics about the  level of deformation aside from the abovious and aforementioned roof skin.

Well........

I hauled the body to a body shop a few miles away that does moslty aircooled. The owner looked it over and said it just needs a roof section. He can fix the body. I really liked hearing that, which means I get to keep more of the org car. You cannot tell from the pics, but the roof does lean to the right somewhat. He feels confident he can pull it all back into shape. Rich Johnson has a clip for me in Indy, but sounds like some of the parts are rusted. Does anyone have some sunroof guts I can buy?

Wow man, nice garage! The car comming apart in the middle of it doesnt look so good, but at least you have a nice place to work! Good to hear it may be repairable and the damage is limited to the body. You'll have er' back out there in no time!

A good body man could save it, but after pounding, stretching, shrinking, picking and filing you've paid to paint another body..... You may be able to find a dash up section.... I have had a few rag sections like that....

save yourslef alot of time and money and just replace the body-  After a roll over like that its really hard to bring it back to square.  Especially if you are used to having a really nice car.  To the everyday person they wont be able to tell- but door jams and body gaps will never be the same-   bodies are a dime a dozen.  I found an oval for 800 with a bunch of trick scca suspension to sell off.  Ended up cutting up a perfectly good 60 semephore body cause noone would come get it Shocked

You guys have some good points. I am back and forth on weather to use this body or to start with another one. I will start another thread to discuss that. As far as the rag parts, I think the only useable part from my old roof is the handle.
