I'm walking around enjoying the Ramma and all or the sudden one of the guys from VW Parts Unlimited goes up and sucker punches a guy..... Then the whole VW Parts Unlimited booth is out in his face.... Next thing you know the guy rips off his shirt and wants to go for it..... So the bitch at each other and such for a minute or so and the Ramma crew comes in like a bunch of Very Unexperienced bouncers and make it worse.... I get the guy calmed down and tell him he's waisting his time...... As I'm walking him away from the situation more Ramma guys show up and get him reved up again.... Next thing you know Wild Bill Grabs the guy around the neck and starts to tow him around buy it while a croud of other Ramma guys are helping.... It was a JOKE..... You guys have no idea how to handle a fight.... I was so dissapointed in the way that the situation was handled..... The funny thing is the guy that sucker punched him was still working in the both at VW Parts Unlimited.....  Sorry for that.... It has been bothering me..... Since I don't know the whole story with the sucker punch I can't judge too hard, but I can say If that was one of my employees He would have been "CANNED" on the spot...... |

the story i heard was that they got free food and drinks from the booth, then had the nerve to come back wanting second portions... when that was refused, they turned into confrontational jerks.
it just goes to show that you can't be too nice to the general public, because there is always that 1% who ruins it for everyone else... a couple of years ago, some pond scum at the bor gave us a fake $20 bill at the booth.

apparently the "wife" was yelling about how she had been in jail 3 times already, so there was nothing that anyone could do to hurt her after that... the guy got punched because he was calling somebody's wife a bunch of names, and i guess that they were both totally drunk?
sounds like good entertainment to me!

He didn't seem drunk to me.... I know drunk  ... His wife did have a mouth on her.... He was ready to go and she wouldn't shut up.... I'm sure if she would have shut her mouth they would have just walked out without as much drama..... I just know that every woman I've ever been with would not put up with her man getting cheap shotted.... I would have grabbed your camera Dan but I didn't run into you all day.... And, I didn't take my camera with me which was wierd by itself.... Otherwise you would have had a Video..... |

I've noticed the last few Rama's weren't as 'VW-ish' as they used to be; it seems to be getting to import-like. I believe there were two of the last shows, people I was with had stuff ripped off in the pits. It was never like that before.
I didn't make it this year, but I'm glad I missed that drama.

I just happened to be walking to the snack bar and the fight broke out. I didnt pay much attention cuz I needed to eat and they were gonna call us to the lanes soon. Looked stupid and was handled poorly.

If they had nothing to do with it why was all of tha anger directed at them, and why didI see the guy that swung in the booth all day??? There is nothing funny about a fight or someone getting sucker punched... People get in fights over stupid sh%t all the time and never resolve anything.... I don't even like to throw punches anymore because I almost killed a guy that ended up becoming a good buddy later on.... He is now blind in one eye and can not feel that side of his face... All over a stupid chick that we both can't stand....... |

Just a week ago I watched a guy get sucker-punched up at the local quickie mart. The poor schlep got rocked so hard his lights went out, he fell back from standing and cracked his head on the pavement. He didnt wake up for over a full minute. Then the dude proceeds to jump on him and continue a beating while he was out cold and completely defenseless. It took me and a rather sizeable Mexican fella to get the punk off the guy to leave him alone.
That dude could have been very easily killed by a knock like that, over what? Some tweaky blonde tattooed skank? His girlfriend was trying to help him up, and for several minutes, the guy couldnt even stand on his own--- which could signify some very serious damage, possibly even death a day or two later. Head trauma that causes a loss of consciousness is no laughing matter.

Oh geez... What are you like 15 years old? There is absolutely nothing funny about a fight. Today at lunch I had to pull some little wanna be thug off this poor kid in the albertsons parking lot because he was feeling like a big tuff guy. He got mouthy and when I went after him he very urgently jumped on his bicycle and rode off just like all bullies.... Pick on the guy you know you can throttle and run from the guy that's gonna spank your ass right there in front of everyone. I have been sucker punched a few times in my life and it is the worst way to be hit and the cowardlyest to boot. You will see how unfunny it is when someone Clocks you upside the head out of the blue and rings your bell. Betcha it won't be so funny to you then. |

I'm with you. I saw pretty much everything after the sucker punch (from the sound of it)...I was wondering what that was all about. I think I even saw you trying to calm the guy down before the BOR guys came back and started riling him up again. Common sense says try to calm things down...whether it's kids on a playground or that Russian guy in the UN banging his shoe on the table (besides, wasn't that the way Patrick Swayze and Sam Elliot handled things  ). The way the girl was going on, I thought she might have had one too many... Oh well, at least it was broken up quickly with not much harm done. |
