In order to  graduate highschool where i live you have to  do a senior project it has to take atleast 20 hr to  complete it when my teacher asked me what i was thinking of doing i told her i wanted to build an engine like many others in the past have done then  she asked me what  kind of engine when i told her a vw engine she laughed at me and told me to  come  up wiht another idea i was like wtf?? asked her why and she said it was to easy to build a vw  engine so i said fine  then ill lower my car and build an  engine and she was like well that might be 20 hr of work . the 20 hr also includes time at the  vw shop buying parts as well as  reserching information on a topic that  is related to my project im thinking damn some girl  in my class is making candles and she laughed at me for wanting to just build an engine i was fairly pissed but  just said hell with it and  let it go . it was my first motor i built this is what it turned out like

Funny... I thought my 557 Ford motor was easier to build than my 2276..... Has she actualy ever built a VW motor "The right way" or does she just bolt up all the parts and send you down the road....

Troy M, as a ROP (High school and adult) job training teacher, I applaud you in your efforts!

Even after much extra (unpaid) time and money on my part so my students can make cool things from Carbon Fiber, they still just sit around picking their noses and expecting a passing grade too! Roll Eyes

I tried and tell them you earn your way thru life by hard work as it is not givien to you.

Also, one last tidbit for you: Learn from your mistakes, don't repeat them! Thomas Edison attempted 24,999 times to make the first working battery! How would you like to get .01 from every battery ever made? To be successfull, finish what you start and you will be successfull.......
