This is a project I started a year or so ago and was hoping to have it published in 2010. Well the project grew and grew and I started adding more information/content to it so it won't be out this year. I was going to try and self publish but have recently been in discussion with an actual publishing company who is showing some interest in publishing my project. So I guess my delay didn't turn out to be that bad?
One of the main parts of the book is the PRA Racer Directory. My goal is to have every person (450+) who has been a member of the PRA and raced at a PRA event represented in this section. Each Racer Profile will include:
Racers First and Last Name
Birthdate and Place
PRA Classes
PRA Championships (if applicable)
Then in baseball card style it will list career stats (Events, Wins, Losses, #1 Qualifiers, Event Wins, Event Runner-Ups).
The stats I have pretty much compiled but I need help with birthdates and locations. So if you are a former or current PRA member and would like the information included in your racer profile when this book is published please email me at
jlculley@gmail.com. Additionally if you had a nickname you went by and would like that included I think it would be cool to have with your racer profile. If anybody has any ideas or suggestions for things they would like to see included in the book I would love to hear those also.
