A 72 Kawasaki H2 fell in my lap. I have owned one before (That ran, 20+ years ago, and several non running that passed through)
Really the original superbike, these things would stomp a mudhole in a CB 750. Kawasaki detuned them in 1974 to make them slower than the KZ 900. Nicknamed "The Widowmaker", these bikes had an explosive powerband, a rearward weight bias, poor brakes, and felt as if they had a hinge in the middle when cornereing.
It now has a SV 650 swingarm, GSXR 1000 forks and shock, and excel supermoto spoke wheels. The frame is/will be extensively braced so it should corner decent and stop great.
I don't anticipate it being done for a couple years, but these things are getting pretty expensive. If I didn't get one now, I probably never would. Special thanks to Jersey Joe for helping me to spend more money.
