After a few years' hiatus from automotive journalistic efforts--my last work was published in VW Trends, Feb. 2003, I believe, with the Rose City Bug-In coverage from 2002, if I remember right--my photos and words shall grace yet another national publication, as I've started covering the 1/8 mile races here in Lakeview, Oregon for not only our local weekly newspaper, the Lake County Examiner (www.lakecountyexam.com), but for the NHRA's publication, as well, as the local car club that runs the racing here is looking for additional press.
Now to get some Volkswagens racing out here in the high desert.  At 4800 feet, the air isn't so great, but it's a track all the same!  Grin

Very cool!  Congratulations!  Before the world beat me down, I dreamt of writing for Hot Rod Magazine.  Now that I'm not listening anymore, I'm headed to school with that dream back in my head... thanks for the inspiration!

Yeah, I'm pretty pleased.  It's a two-way benefit, as it can't hurt my ego (what's ego? Grin) and it gives our local track and club some much needed press.  I cover the races for the weekly paper but this will be a plus for anyone in the region who doesn't know about the track.
