So, the Los Angeles golden boy, Manny Ramirez, is now suspended for 50 games because some doctor gave him something that made him fail a drug test. Boo hoo. He was the one who was holding out for all this money, threatened to walk away from the Dodgers, got a sweet deal, and then let another person inject him with something for a "personal medical condition" he won't elaborate on? Please. I think he totally deserves this suspension. If someone was paying me millions of dollars for four months' worth of work, simply hitting a little ball with a piece of wood and running around for a few hours a day, I wouldn't let ANYONE inject me with ANYTHING that could possibly compromise such a sweet deal. I'm just glad that this isn't being swept under the rug, and he isn't appealing the suspension (which makes me believe that he knew that he was doing something wrong), and the fans are going to have to realize that their golden boy is getting some unpaid time off.

My suggestion for his unpaid salary? Donate it to a nonprofit organization, or use it to help balance the city's budget. The Dodgers have already allocated this money for him anyway, so it may as well do some good in our fair city.

Hell, for the money they were paying him, I'm sure they could have found at least one woman who could overlook that problem.... Grin

I am a big Red Sox fan living over here in CT right in the thick of the Yankee/Sox rivalry.  Manny Ramirez is a good solid hitter - and terrible at everything else - fielding, throwing, base running, sitting, standing, life in general.  I was soooo happy when HE decided to let himself go from the Sox by acting like a baby and not playing to his full potential.  He liked to blame it all on the Sox management, but we are not all that dumb.  I say it all makes sense, just like A-Rod, you get the big money and the big head comes with it.  Manny thinks he can do whatever he wants and get away with it, sorry sir, you are a loser.  And thats that  Grin
