Wow, she must have been really good at her job.
At the top right hand corner of page 17 of the New York Post, January 24, 2009, was a column entitled, "Replacing Michelle" in the National Review, The Week.
Here it is below as it appeared:
"Some employees are simply irreplaceable. Take Michelle Obama: The University of Chicago Medical center hired her in 2002 to run 'programs for community relations, neighborhood outreach, volunteer recruitment, staff diversity and minority contracting'.
In 2005 the hospital raised her salary from $120,000 to $317,000 - nearly twice what her husband made as a Senator.
Her husband, Barack Obama, had just become a US Senator. He sure had. He requested a $1 million earmark for the UC Medical Center, in fact. Way to network, Michelle!

My thoughts: How did this bit of quid pro quo corruption escape the sharp reporters that dug through Sarah Palin's garbage and kindergarten files?

I REALLLLLY hate to jump back in (and it WILL be the last time), but factcheck and every other "supposed" purveyor of truth is no more trustworthy than what "they" are "supposedly" reporting on. All one has to do is read...READ! Competent journalists are those who do not infuse personal bias in their editorial, rebuttal, or internet rhetoric. Factchecking sites may have their shortcomings and may not be the end all be all or last word in truth, but let's face it, there's a lot of bullcrap circulating on the internet.
That being said, people are going to believe what they're going to believe. All the sites I see pushing the birth certificate issue and other rumors are "truth" seem to have plenty of bias and a definite agenda.
I agree that people are frustrated. But I also agree that public discourse goes both ways and that sh*tting on other people over the internet because one happens to disagree or holds a different point of view is unacceptable, IMO, and, in fact, is *not* discourse or debate.
I know there's certain individuals out there who will tell me I need to wake up and open my eyes and blah blah blah to how one individual or party is destroying this country from the inside out... but I just can't buy into it. It's not the action of one person or even one party, it's a collective happening.

My main purpose of this thread was to "bring to light" obama's total incapability as a leader. Period! Elections are right around the corner.
