Obama is a wreckless spender. HE spent DOUBLE the money IN ONE YEAR that George Bush spent in 8 years! He is also NOT RESPECTED by many leaders of other countries. How will we ever pay back all this debt is beyond me. Throughout history, this nation has gone into debt in every war we have been in. Then, we get out of debt after the war is over and things settle down. NOT SO THIS TIME WITH OBAMA. Another problem is the crook banks. They loaned money to anyone with a heartbeat knowing dam well they where going to bundle up these home loans and sell them. MANY where sold overseas. I have yet to see one banking person tried and convicted. The Democrats have been in bed with the unions for years. Well get ready, because Wisconsin is the first of MANY states that are going to break these public unions. AND OBAMA WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO A DAM THING ABOUT IT......

well i will start off by saying i hate politics but i am not really standing up for obama but bush left a big mess and it is going to take a good amount of money to bail us out from his destructive past. and i mean come on bush's track record with business's is not the greatest, he evan ran a major league baseball team into the ground. ok so obama gets in there and because he doesn't have a magic wand to wave at the big giant mess that was left from the guy before him in the first year he is in office he sucks. look at for instance how long in pro sports it takes to build a team to win a championship you can't just get all the best players in the country and get them all to work together and win a title in the first year. it just doesn't happen. and then through a war on top of it all. i say we just give him a little more time and if nothing good comes from then call him what you want. this is all coming from someone who leans republican too. but i am all for giving someone half a chance. i know some of you won't agree with me at all but it's just my 2cents. and i won't come back to this post to add anymore to it either so don't expect a fight from me.

The responses here are partly true. The "partly" part is that EVERY new administration (and its supporters) maligns the previous. However, anybody who has done a reasonable amount of research will tell you (with facts) that the past three years has seen an UNPRECEDENTED and UNEQUALED "fall from grace" in that period of time with regard to public wealth, jobs and job creation, divisive public sentiment, economic instability and world standing. No, it's not just Obama (like I said), but this is exactly why he shouldn't have been put in office. This country had/has NO TIME for on the job training in the oval office. He simply isn't qualified to lead the nation during these turbulent and trying times.

THis is quoted from the Business insider magazine: President Obama's administration has been blamed for reckless spending that has put America into its debt hole. But in reality, much of that spending emanates from policies of President Bush, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. They argue that Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Bush tax cuts (along with the economic downturn) are what is driving the U.S. deficit, not stimulus spending. The CBPP focuses on lower to middle income issues and may be directly involved with the Democratic Party. The chart presents the ugly truth. Read more and see the chart here: http://www.businessinsider.com/chart-of-the-day-bush-policies-deficits-2010-6#ixzz1FHNhzpXsAnd rather than me saying stuff that I know isn't what you want to hear -- but here is some reading for your enlightment -- If you choose to http://zfacts.com/p/318.htmlAnd I know how some people say that Reagan and the Bushs were the great budget balancers but please take a second and read this article and it even has some nice pictures for you to look at. http://zfacts.com/p/1195.html

Never waste a crisis- just keep nudging along!! http://blog.heritage.org/2011/01/07/gas-prices-under-president-obama-in-pictures/ Subject: Push To Increase Gas Prices - Please read to the bottom!!! Gas Prices Under President Obama in Pictures Fact: President Barack Obama's Energy Secretary Steven Chu wants to "figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe." At the time he made the statement, gas cost $7 - $8 a gallon in Europe. Fact: Since taking office, President Obama's entire energy agenda has made a gallon of gas more expensive: Immediately after taking office in 2009, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, canceled 77 leases for oil and gas drilling in Utah. The EPA announced new rules mandating the use of 36 billion gallons worth of renewable fuels (like ethanol) by 2020. This summer President Obama needlessly instituted, not one, but two outright drilling bans in the Gulf of Mexico. After rescinding his outright offshore drilling ban, President Obama has refused to issue any new drilling permits in the Gulf, a policy that the Energy Information Administration estimates will cut domestic offshore oil production by 13% this year Interior Secretary Salazar announced that the eastern Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic coast, and the Pacific coast will not be developed, effectively banning drilling in those areas for the next seven years; The Environmental Protection Agency has announced new global warming regulations for oil refineries; Interior Secretary Salazar announced new rules making it more difficult to develop energy resources on federal land. All of these policies raise gas prices at the pump by either: 1) decreasing the availability of domestic energy supplies, or 2) increasing regulatory costs on gasoline production. President George Bush was no saint when it came to free market energy policies either. He mandated the use of ethanol, put off opening up the Outer Continental Shelf till the end of his second term, supported the expansion of renewable energy tax credits, tried to subsidize the nuclear power industry, and caved into environmental pressure by allowing the EPA to begin the global warming regulation process. But as two time Super Bowl winning coach Bill Parcells says, "You are what your record says you are." And the facts are these: during the first two years under President Barack Obama, gas prices have risen 55%. You can compare that to the 5% drop in gas prices during the first two years of President Bush's term or the 2% drop under the first two years of President Clinton's term. Neither President Bush nor President Clinton had perfect energy policies. But neither of them appointed an Energy Secretary who wanted Americans to pay $9 for a gallon of gas either.

Also, in response to Harold: Your information was interesting, albeit a bit skewed at times. But that is not the real point here. The fact remains that while on Obama's watch, the speed of demise and lack of appropriate response and attention to said demise is the issue. There are numerous elected (cough, cough!) officials from bottom to top who are not interested in representing their constituency or the preservation and maintenance of The United States of America. What ever side of the fence one sits on, the writing is on the wall.

Gary -- It all comes back to the "golden rule" -- "He who has the gold, Rules" -- Money grants you the access that makes sure your desires are met -- and if by "skewed" means different than what you've been told, it goes back to the "two-sides to every story" --
IF you think that the Rep's are more in tune with the peoples "best interests" -- I would like to point out the actions of the new WI governor -- The first 5 actions he did, on the very first day in office, was for the benefit of large corporations by lowering their taxes and reducing their public liabilities, -- -- and the very first thing he did for the "people" was to strip away their benefits and lower their standard of living. If that is what you call "representing their constituency" -- go for it.

Harold, I said "ARE NOT INTERESTED IN REPRESENTING THEIR CONSTITUENCY". So, we are in agreement.....I am now sorry I didn't close my last post out with "All Hail The Mighty Dollar", which I was going to. I am not ETR, nor am I looking for a political battle. Like I said, the writing is on the wall. Until we as a nation demand (and get) the appropriate actions, responses, and representation from our officials, the downward spiral will continue at a more, and more rapid rate (vortex).

President Obama's idea of fixing the economy is creating government jobs. That will never work! Create a better business climate for large companies that they can thrive in, and they will grow and hire people. The first economic stimulus monies went to public jobs/ unions. Well guess what? THEY BURNED THROUGH ALL THE MONEY AND NOW NEED MORE. WHY? ?? BECAUSE US PEOPLE IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR THAT PAY THEIR SALARIES OUT OF OUR CHECKS EACH WEEK ARE NOT WORKING ANYMORE!!!! No jobs for us? No money for them!! Should they be immune to the bad economy? HELL NO!!!! Those baboons are crying because they are wanted to pay more then 3% for their medical??? Are you kidding me? THEY DESERVE THE LAYOFFS!!!! WHO THE HELL DO THEY THINK THEY ARE? Why did all the Democratic Senators of Wisconsin leave the state? Because they are being paid off by the public sector unions!!!! Obama promised to be transparent and cut wasteful spending. I have not seen it at all yet. We have more oil in N. Dakota then the Gulf. And a company there has found a way to extract it from the ground. Unemployment is 3% in that part of the state! They can't keep the shelves stocked with food and have a shortage of women! Will they put Moratoriums on drilling there? Probably. Obama is a UTTER FAILURE in a time when we really needed a leader. HE has no leadership skills whatsoever. NO business skills either. Wisconsin is just the start of a sweeping up of waste. IT's coming to California too. All the states that are in the negative will follow. Bush Jr. made some mistakes. But man do I miss him.....

Glenn, perhaps it will be MY fault. I propose that I be appointed Supreme Chancellor of The United States, just for one week. I'd start with the Banking industry, work my way over to Wall Street, turn to Illegal Immigration, ditch the Health Care Bill, clean out the Pentagon of deadwood, kick the lobbyist to the curb, THEN --- Guillotine Congress. After that, remove the Federal Reserve and return to Gold and Silver certificate money. Deal harshly with the UAW, re institute the DRAFT -- allowing for conscientious objectors to obligatorily serve The United States other than that of the Armed Forces. Speaking of the Armed Forces, Immediately REMOVE ALL HOMOSEXUALS from military duty, PERIOD!! Place prayer back in schools. Give parenting back to the parents. Beat the living crap out of the ACLU with a rubber hose. This is just the short list.

When they have a "none of the above" i'll vote, but i'm not going to vote for someone because I dislike him less.
Oh.. and I do always vote, just for people and things I support.
BTW... where's John McCain's leadership during the past 3 years? If he was elected it would be his ass in the oval office trying to fix this mess we're in.
And I don't blame the previous administration... I blame all the jerks in DC. (both sides).

Glenn, Well, the three stooges where what I felt we had to choose from. I chose the lesser of the three. I chose Moe(McCain) because I felt he would AT LEAST not take any bullcrap from other countries. I felt they would respect him more then a woman or obama. We have alot of problems to sort out here. They are literally strangling the economy, it's gasping for air and they are not letting up at all. obama is hurling us into debt so bad we will never see the light of day. The democrats are not the same as they used to be. They used to fight for the country, NOT NO MORE! They want to give everyone legal status to get their votes. They have sold out the country. The republicans did alot of damage too. But the democrats as so far out there it's scary. We should have been in there kicking the talibans ass when they blew that hole in the side of the Cole and killed out sailors! Clinton did not do a dam thing. You let the school yard bully keep going and he turns into a real monster..........

Yup.. Clinton didn't go after them, but he did bomb Afghanistan.
And didn't the national debt hit zero during his 8 years?
And didn't Regan raise taxes?
No one man is responsible, and history is constantly rewritten.
If you feel strongly for a candidate then you should do whatever you "legally" can to support him. I'M SICK AND TIRED of politicians and people complaining about others and not clearly demonstrating what they will do to fix it.
It's real easy to sit back and criticize. It's really hard to have the guts to get up in front of people and try to make a difference.
I say out with the old crooks and in with the new crooks. The midterm elections brought in a new group of radical conservatives that are not willing to compromise and the Republican leadership is scared of them. So now nothing is getting done and the economy is racing toward the cliff.
What this country needs is real leadership and politicians that are more interested in doing the right thing for this country and pandering to special interest groups and getting re-elected. It's all about CONTROL and POWER.
Given all these problems, I don't see any system that is better.

Glenn, A few notes. Yes, the debt was zero when Clinton was in. HOWEVER, THE CONGRESS WAS REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED. They had the majority. Obama RAMMED THAT HEALTH CARE BILL DOWN OUR THROATS!!! And they touted it as free. Well here we go. Now a 3.5 % tax on your home if you sell it. Aren't we already paying property tax?? This is NOT living the American dream in my book. Not at all. Me paying for someone else that is too lazy to work is not what this country is all about. We have a great system, if they would leave it alone. OBAMA IS IN WAY OVER HIS HEAD. He's not intelligent enough for starters. And he does not care about the country and the people. It's very obvious to me. The way I see it is if McCain was in there I HIGHLY DOUBT WE WOULD HAVE SOCIALIZED(if you can call it that) health care....... We are in a real mess......

I'M SICK AND TIRED of corporations sending jobs overseas and hiding money in foreign banks so they don't pay and taxes... ie. GE. That the oil companies still get tax breaks which reaping HUGE profits. That some CEO's make tens of millions in bonuses while laying off workers.
And yes I'M ALSO SICK AND TIRED of people abusing the system and getting benefits and cash they are not entitled to.
But there are plenty of people, both old and veterans that need the government to help them. So we have to be compassionate for those that are truly in need.
I believe that Obama is doing his best. If he runs again I will again not vote for him. But I will also not vote for his opponent as a vote against him.

I'm sick of people running their mouths denigrating our current president when they threw virtual sh*t fits about the liberal/leftists that did the same thing against Bush when he was in office. Opinions are like a-holes, this is true, but I'm so sick of people railing against one single man as if he is the sole cause of all of our country's and society's problems. Claims that allowing gay people in the military will weaken military might is ludicrous. Bigoted d-bags made that same claim about blacks in the military sixty years ago, if not sooner... same thing about allowing them and women and more to vote.

Glenn, Then you should NOT be voting on obama next time around! Pretty cut and dry as far as I am concerned. bugnut, GAY's in the military is a bad idea! Gays have a one track mind and are very perverted. When I am showering I do not want any gay people around me checking me out. My sister is gay, and I know first hand the perversion and battle they are going through. Trust me, it's a good vs. evil battle! They have no business in the military fighting to protect our country. Until they defeat their own problems they cannot take care of out countries. If you are gay thats your business. I do not want to know about it........................
