* sigh *
And all I'm hoping for these days is to get to go into town to see Ice Age, The MeltDown. I should have married for money....
Way years back my sister and I took our '63 bus and drove from LA up to Carmel, etc. Camped and got stuck on Pismo Beach, had to wait until tide went out to get out and then on up to Tassajara, the Budhist retreat. It was beautiful and so peaceful up there. No one told us the one way dirt road up/down could not be transversed by the average car that they had to come down and transport you up in their Jeep for retreat.
Dave had a 2180 (whoa, look out), with a stock cam, single 32 NDIX for towing "The Ghia" with an Alpine reduction gear box in our '63 Westy so we chugged right on up. The look on those people's face when we got to the top of the mountain was incredible. Also going up the Grape Vine to March Meet, towing, we passed most other cars towing with this engine, tranny. It was a wheel stander to the other side of the intersection but a real dog beyond that if not towing. Sorry for pirating this thread, traveling, when we did/could was great fun. Any traveling this Summer, have a great trip ! I envy you she said stuck here in our engine building, critter caring for World. * sigh *
Judy
well to be honest with you, I'd really dig some "down time" setting some cam timing and bottle feeding some raccoons.
PS: Theodore is doing well. Felidae wet food helps a lot.
