Some more vintage than others:
I drooled over this one while visiting the Mercedes Benz Museum in Stuttgart
These two are just bitchen'!
And a more modern interpretation

I love those setups too. I want to build a diesel engined flatbed with a midengine and a bus double cab for my drag car. And I could pull a second car behind it on the trailer. I think that would look cool pulling into a VW show.

I love the pics above too. I always thought it would be cool to locate an old COE cab to build one. An owner of a local body shop did one. Starting with a 1940's Ford COE truck, he found a salavaged motor home chasis, and then combined the two (cab from the COE truck and the frame and drivetrain from the motor home). He then fabbed up a flat carrier for the rear, and today he hauls his '32 Ford roadster. It is bright yellow and rides on polished alcoa's.
I thought it would be cool to take a similar route, but find a cummins drivetrain from a salvaged Dodge Ram.
