In the northwest I head right to Burgerville for cheese burgers w/ extra spread.... In the Vegas area I head right to Fat burger.... Here in Medford It's Jaspers but Dells has the killer fry sauce..... I only like In and Out for the fries..... I guess sence I was born in Baldwin Park/West Covina that would almost make me a trader..... My favorite is Burgerville though.... It is the first thing I do when I get into the Portland area.....

my faves:

Nor Cal:
Fatapples in Berkeley
Bob's Giant Burgers in Newark and Pleasanton
Val's in Castro Valley

Man, Vals has some good burgers!  And Bob's ain't too shabby either.

Damn Jim, Thanks for getting me all hungery now, I havn't had a burger in nearly 2 months (and by loosing 20 lbs. thus far, I'd say it's paid off)  But now I'm getting an urge to drive the bug to Bob's  so I can put on a pound or 5...

When i lived in Fairfield,Ca id go to Daves burgers and RedRrobin or go up to Vacaville to Foster Freeze for a BOSS burger .When im down visiting reletives in the South East i always hit up Krystals (its the white castle of the south) for my krystals with cheese fix.

Vacaville Foster Freeze is awesome! Actually any of the Foster Freeze places I have eaten at are good. In-n-out is definitely not that (in and out). The stupid lines are a mile long all the time...Good food though!

my old friend Lil Frank and I used to go on some pretty loony trips. Many times we'd end up out on Interstate 5, headed somewhere from the SF Bay Area. We'd always stop at the Foster's Freeze way out in the middle of nowhere, at the Panoche Rd exit, in Firebaugh. Their cheeseburgers are awesome.

Good meat is always hard to beat Wink

Anyway, we've lived in Northern Kentucky for 2 years now and supposedly up in Ohio there's some place that makes a huge 8# burger.  It's a 5# patty with a pound of cheese and 2-3 pounds of condiments and toppings.  It comes cut like a pizza but know one knows where it is or what it's called.  Go figure?

As for White Castle, get a crave case and a Big Red and eat til you puke.  I don't mind them but the warm pickles get to me.

Yep, Murder Burger in Davis changed their name to Redrum Burger.  I have had the ostrich burger there and it is good but way leaner then the ground beef so the cook needs to be on the ball or it may dry out.

Talked to my Uncle yesterday who lives in Castro Valley and asked him about Val's and he said that they have been there forever.  He told me that they have a pappa and a mamma burger but he has to order the baby burger since the others are huge.  Can't wait to go visit him and try out that place.

I was born in Castro Valley. Val's has always been there and they are almost always packed. I have never been able to eat more than a Mama burger. Papa burgers are fricken huge. Their shakes are very good also.
