Can nothing else satisfy like a big juicy sloppy cheeseburger?

Where do you get your favorite?

Foster's Freeze...
And this little crappy place in Wilmas with bars on the windows and ese's outside.
Oh, and there used to be a Greek place in Corona, but they got bought out.
Oh, and Larry's in San Pedro, but they got bought out, too.
But now there's Fantastic Cafe in Pedro that's better.

Thanks, now I need a greasy, cheesy, burger w/ Thousand Island and shredded coleslaw instead of lettuce.

Dude, Ratto, good cheeseburgers are life. So much so that many times, even if we're out to Red Lobster or Outback or any other non-burgerish establishment, I go for the cheeseburger. Id have to say my absolute favorite burger is one that no longer exists on the menu at Red Robin, the Triple Cheese Monster Burger. Now, its just the Monster Burger, they no longer use 3 kinds of cheese. ;( Joe's Crab Shack makes a damn good burger too, and one of my recent favorites, Bob's Biggie at the Black Bear Diner--- 1 full pound of ground cow and damn near as big as the plate they serve it on. Ahhhhhh yeeeah.

Hey Myles.....The best (without a doubt) burger during the 70's was ANDREW'S BURGERS on Lincoln at Dale. Bill's Burgers, in Fullerton, at Wilshire and Raymond was a close second. For some reason, the Greeks make THE best burgers....DOPPLE CHEEZ ANT FRYYZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe Jimmy Buffet wrote a song just for you Smiley

Val's in Castro Valley kicks some serious ass. Baker's Square used to have a burger called a Santa Barbara burger that was scrumtious. It had a 1/3 lb patty, cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato onions and avocado. Mmmmmmmmm.

Although you guys from Cali are gonna laugh, no trip to the golden state is complete unless you go to In-N-Out.

Years before, I had learned of the existance of an In-N-Out real close to one runway at LAX as my landing plane flew over it.  Over many flights I thought it couldn't be that far, so a couple of years ago I made my first run on a stopover.  Last month I was returning to Canada from Mexico.  My flight had a 2hr stopover at LAX.  Plenty of time, I thought.  What you need to do is go out to the middle sidewalk where the shuttle busses stop.  Look for the blue sign for busses to the remote parking lots.  When the bus to lot C arrives get on that one.  It will take you to the lot on the south side of Sepulveda across from the In-N-Out just to the north of the airport.  I ride it to the far north end of the lot, then hop the low brick wall and cross the street into the IN-N-Out.  One double-single please (don't forget the t-shirt).  Then make your way back to the loading place for the busses back to LAX.  The whole round trip takes an easy 1hr without having to run.  Unfortunately, I had miscalculated the time, and almost missed the flight.  You know you are late when there's no one left at the gate and the attendant looks up and greets you by name!

By the way, what's with this year's LAME In-N-Out T-shirt?Huh?

I had never heard of Tommyburger until I moved down here last summer. Then one night, my-then-fiancee (now wife) and I were kicking back watching Seinfeld repeats and i was starving for a cheeseburger. She asked if had Tommy's up north. I had no idea what Tommy's was. So then she explained what a Tommy burger was. She spoke with passion in her voice about these, and SHE DOESN'T EAT RED MEAT ANYMORE, so I knew there was something up with these.

So I ran across town....and OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

The Nugget in Reno, not the one near the freeway but the little hole in the wall slot machine only place on the main strip by Fitzgeralds.  There is a small dinner in the back and they serve the Awful Awful.  The sign on the wall says it all Awful Big Awful Good and a basket of fries! They are not kidding-the burger is fantastic and a lot of food for the price.  Kind of a hole in the wall place, but the burger is well worth it.  I have been known to drive from the Bay Area to Reno just for one.

Got to give Vals in Castro Valley a try.

Damn Jim, you have me jones'in for cheeseburgers!
