I sure do... he used to be partners with Rich in the Bugs For You stores. I visited his Grass Valley store a a couple of times in the 80's. I ran into him a few times since he closed or sold the store... last time we talked, maybe at the Classic, he was real heavy into producing and merchandising die casts and other collectables at the wholesale level, he and his wife were real excited about getting a few of their items into the Dale Earnhardt catalog, sort of like getting a contract to supply WalMart I guess. Life was treating him real good. The main thing I remember is  the guy was always smiling.

What's he up to these days Jim?

Well, I went to the SAMPE (Society of Advance Materials and Process Engineers) Composites trade show in Long Beach on Wed. afternoon.

I was talking with the director of Cerritos college Compostes dept. as we have been getting all the local plastics teachers together as a gorup to share donated supplies, projects and technology.

While Terry was showing me a DVD on his recent young girls surfboard making seminar, I saw a guy in the next booth over look at me and I thought I knew him.....but between all the car shows, racing, students, VW friends / customers / dealers.....I can't go anywhere and bumping into someone I know.....

Anyways, when I was done talking with Terry, I stepped next door to check out these Carbon Fiber accessories like pens, coasters, watches and jewerly as I have my students making them too..... and he gets up and "Man, are you still making VW products?"

Then I looked at his name tag and it hit me...it was Dave Craig! Wink

He still is the smiling and happy go lucky as ever! Yes, he was doing a lot of Promo products for DEI (Dale Earnhardt inc.), making composite parts for Nascar and other things with other partner after BYU deal.

He now is back in his original Calif. area and runs NFS (Need For Speed) Sport Int'l.

I gave him my Composites, Fiberglass & Plastics ROP card and he asked me how long I have been teaching it.....and after I told him 12 years, he just shook his head.

Then came all the stories of the old Bug events that we both were selling at and the like.....
