I think I speak for most Canadians when I say that for most sports just the ability to compete at a world class level deserves respect. In many instances the differences between gold and 4th or even 5th place (for eg. men's 50k cross country- after over 2hrs the time spead from 1st to 5th was about 2 1/2 seconds?) was so small that you appreciate how amazing and dedicated these athletes are.
But hockey.......for what they put us through (not having the bye into the medal round and not putting it away in regulation time) they're lucky that Prime Minister Harper didn't revoke their citizenships!
