When I was going through my divorce first it was Wish You Were Here, then it was One of These Days. That was an ugly time in my life. Now it is Comfortably Numb.

Just about anything Pink Floyd is good stuff, I havent met too many people who dont like Floyd. I never really got into "The Wall" (the movie), alittle too trippy for me--- Ive never eaten a single shroom.

Actually, Floyd was a big part of the moment I got hooked on VWs. Up until then VWs were a cheap replacement for hotrods while I was in school. I had purchased what I found out later was considered a Cal-look '69. De-chromed, lowered, mildly hoped up engine, solid color dark green respray. (This was back in the early '90s when most still considered a 1776 a big engine.)

I was driving the '69  home from my job as a bartender at about 2 am.  It was a summer night but the heat had broken so it was cool out and a full moon was up. Windows down you could hear the engine burbling away as I was pushing sixty-five on the truck route with The Wall in the cd player. Life was good, the car was running strong for a change, and all was well with the world. Been obsessed with VWs ever since.

Was obsessed with The Wall back when my high school sweetheart dumped me for another guy that she met in the mental ward.

Something about the doom of that entire album, and the ongoing theme of being alone, and left behind, and eventually barring yourself in, all alone and diving into madness....seemed fitting,

Sometimes, when listening to Gilmour's solo on Numb, I can still feel how pissed off I was, even though it was over 17 yr ago. Amazing what music can stir up within you.

louisB - I totally agree... VW's and Pink Floyd will alwyas go together for me.

Back in college, I worked summers at a VW "speed shop" in a resort area here in Michigan.
We played Floyd all day working at the shop, and most nights working on our cars.

For me, I love Money, Have a Cigar, Shine On, Time... whenever I hear those songs it takes me back 15 years to those days... some of the best of my life.

Still love to play Floyd when I am working on my '57!  Cheesy

I actualy like Floyd when I'm unmotivated.... While working on the car it has to be "Stray Cats" or "Idol"....

As far as Floyd goes, my money is on "Money"......

You "Wall" fans: have you heard the country version? pretty good actually. A friend of my brother's in B.C. named his daughter Emily after, you guessed it, the awesome Floyd song, See Emily Play.
