I had Bruce over to the house one day many years ago talking about fiberglass & Stuff.

Mark Herbert had told me about a hardware store that had a old Manx in the rafters earlier and I had stop by there days before Bruce came by. I talked to the owners of this early Manx (the last hand laid and it was #13 ever made...) and I stated that Bruce was going to stop by my home in the next day or so.....

So when he was here, I made a call to that hardware store, got one of the owners on the phone and then handing it to Bruce.......with a blank look on his face, so I told him "....it is an old friend of yours...."!

Turns out they were long time friends that lost track of each other.......they used to use Bruce's early Manxs to dune at the back bay and the beach all the time. Wink

Cool stuff.  When I was a kid my grandma's attic had a bunch of early 60's Hot Rod mags and late 60's Car and Driver mags that my uncle had... I found two copies of the Meyer's Manx cover issues.  Great articles, and the reason I built one for myself.

The new Manxter looks WAY bitchin IMHO. I would love to have one of the off road versions.
