A widowed lady, still in good shape, was sunbathing on a most deserted beach at Ft. Myers Florida.
She looked up and noticed that a man her age, also in good shape, had  walked up, placed his blanket on the sand near hers and began
reading a book.

Smiling, she attempted to strike up a conversation with him.  "How are you
today?"

"Fine, thank you," he responded, and turned back to his book.

"I love the beach.  Do you come here often?" she asked.

"First time since my wife passed away 2 years ago," he replied and turned back
to his book.

"I'm sorry to hear that. My husband passed away three years ago and it is very
lonely,"she countered. "Do you live around here?"  She asked.

"Yes, I live over in Cape Coral," he answered, and again he resumed reading.

Trying to find a topic of common interest, she persisted," Do you like pussy
cats?"

With that, the man dropped his book, came over to her blanket, tore off her
swimsuit and gave her the most passionate lovemaking of her life.

When the cloud of sand began to settle, she gasped and asked the man, "How did
you know that was what I wanted?"

The man replied. "How did you know my name was Katz?"

Nice one, Jim.... you could have told jokes like that at the Fontana Furnace event on Sunday-- didn't see you out there, but I figured a retired firefighter like you has had enough of heat like that! Grin

You pretty much hit the nail on the head, Skeet.  I find that in my senior stage of my life that I can't take the heat like I used to.  A couple years ago in August a bunch of us VW racers were at Fontana racing the "Battle of the Imports".  It was like 103 degrees.  I was staying on top of my liquids (water, Power Aid etc) but as I started making elimination rounds I started feeling the affects of heat exhaustion.  After the 5th round the fella's from Silver Bugget racing came to my rescue and started towing me back to the lanes and doing prep chores for me in preparation for the next round.  It took 7 rounds to get the win.  I couldn't have done it without the help of the Silver Bugget racers.  I will be thankful to them forever.  Going home that night I started cramping up in my legs.  It was the $hits.  No more heat for me.

I don't care how old you are, that kind of heat is brutal.

Well, at noon it was about 105, the only shade was what you brought with you, and I went through about 12 bottles of water at least! Yes, I hang around the Silver Bugget folks more often than not, they seem to tolerate me... Grin

Of course, if you bring an RV with an air conditioning unit, that helps too!
